  1. Not really. He was out by about 10 feet. Wasn't even close. I don't really no what to say other than that you're completely wrong. His arm was extending to the base when he got tagged in the midsection. I had to look at the replay closely to make sure he wasn't actually safe. Seriously? It wasn't even close. Again, not much else to say but you're wrong. Only by your definition of close. And several other people in this thread. If serveral means one, sure...

You learn in little league that you're not supposed to make the 3rd out in an inning trying to reach 3rd base. It's the mistakes like those that keep the Cubs from winning close games. the baserunning of pitchers who have just hit doubles is absolutely, 100% NOT the type of mistakes that keep the cubs from winning close games. So just because he's a pitcher he gets a pass when making a baserunning mistake? A mistake is a mistake. That was a mistake and a bone headed play.

  6. We can never get that hit with RISP.
  7. I count at least 5 balls that were set a tee and taken by the Cubs. And then we swing at the FB at out heads. How does someone like James go 11-4 since last August? Has absolutely nothing, no exceptional pitch nor move movement on anything, control is weak to poor, it's unbelievable. I'm thinking the same thing. This guy's stuff is average at best.
  8. Hill looks good, it's a shame it's going to be wasted.

  10. This guy has been throwing meatballs all game long and we can't touch the guy.
  11. I'm in my apartment about 5 blocks from Wrigley. How much you give me if I break in, jump on the field, and punch Jones in the face? I'd give you my Kidney. I need my liver, or else I would offer that..
  12. Someone start a fight. This game is a snore.
  13. He's short players. Murton as a sore back.
