    Agreed. We gave him an extended look last year and he sucked then, so this isn't necessarily a sample size issue. You can't play the young guys just for the sake of playing them, they have to at least show something out there. That's coming off incredibly Dustyish, I imagine. 200 ABs is "an extended look?" Good thing the Cubs didn't have ARod, because his .225/.259/.330 in his first 200 ABs would have gotten him released. No kidding. Not to mention those 200 at bats came really spread out Was Lou his manager at that time? Uh, yes? Then I wouldn't about Pie getting a fair break. Lou has been a pretty good judge of talent.
