    Yes this. Zell will sell to the highest bidder period! He has incurred 8 billion in depth from buying the TRIB, he needs to maximize his value via assets or the TRIB will go belly-up. He doesn't care about any "good ole boys club". I'm thinking if Cuban is the higest bidder, Cuban will be the next Cubs owner. That's it!

    Does Cuban have a group or is he sole owner. I know he got 2 billion for selling broadcast.com, but is he willing to dump 50 percent of his worth into a baseball team? I wouldn't be surprised if he puts the Mavericks up for sale if he's able to buy the Cubs. That would be my guess. I'm sure he would also start some kind of Cubs channel on his HDNET station.

    He was in a group though, right? Was it Canning's group? No, he was his own group. I forgot his last name. Anixter I think? Also Levin is still in the mix I think (the owner of the Wolves) My gut feeling is that Levin's the favorite in this...a local guy who's already had success in the sporting arena. Just a hunch, nothing more Why does MLB care if a guy is local or not? It's stupid.

    I hate to say it but i kind of agree. I think this team doesn't have it. And yes mark me for saying if we do "reach" the postseason because i don't see this team doing anything. I'll happily eat crow, but the road woes have been there all along and are only getting worse. This feels like last year, but in reverse. Brewers are coming on strong and the next two days they have CC and Sheets. They are going to sweep the Cards...
