You know, first of all, I really don't realistically see the Tejada trade ever happening. That's your typical big trade off season rumor that the Cubs get involved in that never happens. It's tired and happens every year. It's not going to happen. But, if it did, losing Prior is severe and I think, worthy of Hendry's firiing. I could see Wood.... but not Prior or Zambrano. Send them wood with a nice package of prospects that would make it difficult to turn down. As far as Millwood goes, the Rangers definately overpaid, but the guy had the best ERA in the American League last year. He's a fine pitcher and I would have loved to see him join the Cubs. It's too bad that teams like the Rangers have to overpay FAs to this extent to get them to come to their city. Detroit is in the same boat. When you run your team so badly for so many years, such a price will later be paid. Rebuilding a franchise is expensive.
