  1. No, I have no responsibility with that site. I'm not even a member or their message board. I just enjoy it and thought others might as well.
  2. Nonetheless, it's great radio and I highly recommend it. Just curious, has anyone else checked this out, yet?
  3. Yeah, they also have a message board there, too.
  4. Anyone check this out yet?
  5. Hey guys, I was surfing the other day and ran across someting I thought was pretty interesting....do any of you listen to internet radio at all? I found this: http://www.bricksandivyradio.com It's a couple of lunatics raving about the Cubs and I have to say, it's pretty entertaining. Lots of good info and good laughs. Thought you guys might get a kick out of it!
  6. Congratulations, you've just come up with the most homosexual post in internet history. Elton John's site is in a uproar. Heh, I just had too "Adam Greenberg" Little Adam Greenberg with his helmet caved in Soon will pass through waivers, oh You better put Dusty in the loony bin 'Cause he'll never let Adam be a part of his show Adam is an outfielder And he runs quite a lot He'll give you OBP But a slugger, he's not He says he wants to be a major leaguer But he better first learn to duck quicker Adam! Adam! Adam! Adam! Adam! Adam Greenberg! Adam! Adam! Adam! Adam! Adam! Adam Greenberg! Adam better be playing Those slot machines 'Cause he'll have a token pile Before he starts on our team Will he always be afraid That they'll knock him to the dirt? No, he'll put that behind In AAA, prove his worth So the kid can get traded To some other town For a retread or such While he's All-Star bound Little Adam Greenburg Keep playing the game If we keep you, you'll suck probably Guess the curse is to blame Adam! Adam! Adam! Adam! Adam! Adam Greenberg! Adam! Adam! Adam! Adam! Adam! Adam Greenberg!
  7. Couldn't agree more.
  8. Sorry, but when you look back at it now, the Lawton...Gerut...Dubois deals can't be seen as anything but failures....the Lawton deal should have never been made without another deal in succession to shore up the team for a playoff run. Lawton wasn't enough initself to ever bring the team to the playoffs. It was ridiculous to think so. Don't get me wrong, I was just excited to see us make a move and I thought Lawton was a good choice, but I also thought that without another deal to accompany it (pitching), there really was no point in it.
  9. I find it very odd that now that Prior's name is being brought up in trade rumors that speculation on his motion is appearing. I don't ever recall such speculation before. Wood's motion has always been flawed and that's been well documented, but Prior's mechanics have always been hailed as flawless and ideal. Doesn't anyone else find this incredibly strange?
  10. Did I see Weaver's name mentioned? Sorry...excuse me....I just threw up in my mouth a little.
  11. I heard today that he's on several anti depressant medications and recently had a minor heart surgery....so, the medications combined may have caused him to act in a manner he wouldn't normally.
  12. I wouldn't be shocked at all to see the middle of the lineup look just like that. To some extent, I can understand it....and with Lee in front of him, I could see Jones push 100 RBIs this year. But, the pessimist in me knows that it isn't going to happen. Lee's numbers will be severly hurt this year by having no protection behind him in the four spot. Dont get me wrong, Burnitz didn't offer much protection either, which further speaks of Lee's spectacular season.... Lee was an absolute stud. I will be watching eagerly to see if he can repeat what he did last year or if it was one and done. I worry that he'll have a lineup around him that won't help his bid to repeat it. If the lineup doesn't produce, it's Hendry's fault, not Dusty's.
  13. You know, first of all, I really don't realistically see the Tejada trade ever happening. That's your typical big trade off season rumor that the Cubs get involved in that never happens. It's tired and happens every year. It's not going to happen. But, if it did, losing Prior is severe and I think, worthy of Hendry's firiing. I could see Wood.... but not Prior or Zambrano. Send them wood with a nice package of prospects that would make it difficult to turn down. As far as Millwood goes, the Rangers definately overpaid, but the guy had the best ERA in the American League last year. He's a fine pitcher and I would have loved to see him join the Cubs. It's too bad that teams like the Rangers have to overpay FAs to this extent to get them to come to their city. Detroit is in the same boat. When you run your team so badly for so many years, such a price will later be paid. Rebuilding a franchise is expensive.
  14. Hmmm....it's like I know you from somewhere....hmmmm.....
  15. At this point, with the given options left for RF, I say we should definately keep Patterson. He'll give you speed and great range in the OF for certain. He actually hits fairly well lower in the order....the 7th spot..... so let him hit there, give you great defense and speed on the bases....that's a lot more than we could get from Jacque Jones.....
