  1. Leave it to rotoworld to put everything in perspective. Which version of Theriot are we gonna get the rest of the way? Do you really wanna risk getting the one from earlier this season? And you want Ronny Cedeno is start with his .150 average?
  2. C, SS, and CF Would you like to tell me who's avaliable in those positions because I don't see very many options there.
  3. I prefer to stay away from guys with rebuilt arms. Williamson, and Miller haven't turned out to be so well with new arms, and Dotel, with his aggressive motion, won't be that great very long.
  4. Why Laird might not be hitting, I believe I read that he has thrown out 40 percent of runners.
  5. Who's out there to get that we won't get fleeced over? Griffey? Dunn? Renteria? Probably forgetting a few others. You think Atlanta won't fleece the Cubs considering they're in the playoff race with us? Do you think Cincinnati isn't going to ask for the moon for both Dunn and Griffey? Are you sure you want to give Hill possibly for one of those guys because that might be one of the pitchers that goes.

  7. SS, C and RF remain problems. There are holes on this team. We get no SLG from RF, no anything from C and I'm not sold on a middle IF of Theriot and Fontenot. Who's out there to get for those positions without getting totally fleeced?
  8. 3 runs score.. 9-5.
  9. Turnbow is out.
  10. Bases loaded again.
  11. I don't know if I'd go as far as saying most, but a lot did.LOL...funny how that changed so quickly. I'll admit I'm one of the ones who wouldn't have minded seeing him traded at the time. The Cubs didn't look to be in contention and it looked like he was in a freefall. Now his claim about winning the Cy Young Award this year doesn't look so crazy after all.He should be the leading candidate after today. Wonder how much teeth gnashing there is in the front office after not signing him to the very reasonable deal at the beginning of the season? He's not anywhere near the Cy Young Award quite yet. He might not even be in the top 5 right now. If he keeps pitching like he has recently though, he could move up the ranks quickly. Besides Penny, Young and Peavy, who is there?
  12. duncan k's.. edmonds time.
  13. Bases loaded. One out.
  14. basehit pujols..
  15. Pujols is up.. Tie it up, please.
  16. Do you remember the last time Murton played right field in Wrigley? yeah i remember the last time murton played right in wrigley. i also remember the last couple of months that murton spent in Iowa playing RF. He was bad as a cub in RF, but from accounts that I have heard, he has been pretty good as a RF in Iowa. Assuming that Dunn/Griffey, is too expensive who else is a viable option to improve this team? Lofton and Wigginton would have been great, but they have been dealt for already and assuming there is no blockbuster this year, church is the best we can hope for. Playing for Iowa is a little different than playing in the winds in Wrigley.
  17. Past 2 years: 2006: .235/.396/.463/.859 2007: .232/.323/.384/.707 I'll pass.
  18. Do you remember the last time Murton played right field in Wrigley?
  19. I wouldn't want him long term, but I'd definitely welcome someone with more HR than anyone on the team for the rest of the season. Exactly what I'm saying. That guy will go back down to his career norms which are about as good as Jacque Jones but just with a couple more homeruns.
  20. Give Kendall some time to get his feet underneath him here. Not like he's 0 for the century. OBP is .310 right now and batting .231. Give him a little bit of time.
