I was reading an article about Jason Collins at SI coverIng the reaction to his coming out and there was a tidbit about Robbie Rogers un-retiring. He apparently is training with LA. The Fire hold his rights but I assume MLS, Nike and his management team will get him to the Galaxy if that's where he wants to be. Glad to hear he's coming back.

Dutch rumors say he's staying put, but nobody's buying it. AZ have signed Aussie Eli Babalj, who might fill in up front next season. What rumors? Jozy said he expects to be sold, Earnie Stewart when asked said buying young players and selling them is their business model and in addition to Babalj, they bought Aron Johansson who has already scored twice. They're a selling club, they've already acquired his replacements so there's not much room for doubt.

Russ Westbrook tore his meniscus and is likely done for the year. The finals just got way less competitive. Sure would be nice to have an elite swing guard who can distribute and score with the best of them. A cool beard would really be icing on the cake, too.

Now that he's running Grantland and hanging out with younger, more talented/relevant writers, his cultural references are more up to date. Don't know if that's good or bad because now we have to read molly jokes.

He's great, I love watching him and at worst he's a legendary MLS striker in the making, but is he more than Taylor Twellman Jr? That is not a bad thing to be, just asking. They are built and play similarly. I think he's a bit stronger on the ball than Twellman ever was, and I think his movement between the lines is really good. I think it's his mental makeup that gives him an opportunity to be much better than Twellman was. Basically, Twellman Jr. right now is his floor; I'm not sure what his ceiling is just yet, but the improvements he's made in the past couple years are really impressive. It's more likely than not he'll end up being like a Conor Casey-ish contributor to the NT, ie a guy that knocks in a few in qualifiers but is never a starter, but we'll see. Also, unlike Twellman, he'll get a chance to go abroad when the offers are there.

Deuce hasn't scored as many as I thought he would, but he's scored a bunch and a few have been massive. Like today.

It would be humane at this point to quit screwing with the fanbase and just declare him out for the year. Idk. I think anyone still holding out hope deserves the disappointment.

What a weird thing to say. He's the basketball equivalent of sugar. It's tastes good and will give you an energy fix but it's not nutritionally valuable for health or a viable fuel for any meaningful amount of time. The Knicks, Celtics, Thunder, Warriors and soon the Bulls agree with me. He's the physical manifestation of the Bulls punting a year and while that was the right thing to do, it's not something that inspires me as a fan.

Yes. They're not going to make any big free agent moves and he's cheap, a lock down defender at two positions and doesn't have to handle the scoring load with a healthy D Rose.
