Appropriately, Pat was somewhat incredulous that D. Ward had actually legged out a triple at one point. :-)) -
The thing about that screen behind home plate at every park is that it prevents the former from happening. The guy just freaked out and lost his popcorn and, appropriately, the lady he was with laughed at him mercilessly the next few minutes.

I was at that game. Marmol gave up 5 runs in the 9th to blow it and then Marshall pitched scoreless relief in extra innings and singled to start the winning rally. What? This game? Lincecum is going to [expletive] our [expletive] up. :(
