  1. Another cheap hit. You know what Wells is thinking in the dugout right now.
  2. Sirott had that called as a double in the gap before realizing Choo caught it. Chucklehead.
  3. Can we STOP giving up leadoff hits to Jamey freaking Carroll? He ISN'T GOOD
  4. You're right - quoting today doesn't do much for my case regarding his hitting with runners on. Numbers-wise, however, he's hitting only .246 with runners on and .250 with RISP. That's the point I was trying to get across - he's hitting, but he's not producing.
  5. I think the cause for the ridicule is that as commendable as the hitting streak is, he's not hitting with runners on, RISP, for power or for anything else but a first or second AB single. Today was a microcosm of this. He singled in his first AB and was then thrown out trying to go first to third. He then, in sequence, grounded out to second (3rd inning, 2 outs, 0 on), lined out to second (5th inning, 1 out, Theriot on first), walked (7th inning, 1 out, 0 on), flied out (9th inning, 2 outs, 0 on) and struck out swinging (12th inning, 0 outs, 0 on). He's hitting, yes, and that's great, but he's not producing. Yet. I have confidence he'll pick up the slugging like you said.
  6. Andres Blanco is like the infielder version of Henry Blanco. They're both going to hit about .200, they're both going to play stellar defense and they're both going to come through in the clutch juuuuuust often enough to earn that soft spot in the hearts of some fans.

  12. I can't tell from the photo, but is there any way that's anyone but Z? :-))
  13. I'll see what I can do. Gameday Audio usually just keeps the ballpark audio between innings where commercials would normally go, so I think I can do that. If it proves feasible, I'll include it when I post the highlights in this thread, so watch here later on.
  14. Getting tired of watching scrub 2Bs make world-beating plays.
  15. Show more of that chick in the red please, Comcast.
