Oh, I definitely admit that I and others actively look for things to complain about with ESPN. No denying that. But, here's the thing. I'm NOT watching it. I chose Fox over their broadcast because they're going to focus more on the game than the sensationalist drama which ESPN is going to handle quite well I'm sure. My point is that Fox's local station, and the mothership ESPN, have different goals in airing this game. And that's why I give Fox a pass, and think ESPN is BS. agreed this is why i turned the game off after seein how they are handling it..ill just get my updates online

this is newsworthy. You people are following the Cardinals game and talking about how they seem to not have their heads in the game, so if you think ESPN showing the game and talking about Hancock is pathetic, then you should probably stop talking about it too. But if you're interested in this game, don't you think other people are too? I guess the major news networks shouldn't have covered 9/11, Katrina and the tsunami so thoroughly... after all, people died and they were making ratings money off those people. Not to hijack our game thread - but I'd make the easy argument that us discussing it privately on the internet is NOT THE SAME as nationally televising it to millions of people. yeah, i just have the game on cuz its baseball, but was just stating the obvious with what i saw...are the white sox on cuz ill talk about how they look stupid and are morons

Alternatively, they could just put Joe Morgan and Dusty Baker together, and give them a microphone for a few hours. i would gladly suffer through that instead of having to watch the cardinals in their depressive state...plus i have a mute button

its too bad espn has this game on because now the entire country has to watch them...plus, then they get espn running it into the ground and talkin about it over and over I'm watching them on Fox's Missouri channel, which is only because it's baseball, and..it's the only baseball on TV. I agree, Cardinals should not be on ESPN tonight. No way. right if i were at school id def have FSN midwest on...not that it matters cuz i have it muted but i just dont think espn should have this Yup. The local fans will want to watch the game regardless, but why the hell would ESPN pick this/stay with this for a national broadcast? I don't know if I'm being anal or what, but it seems really unclassy to me. And zooming in on Spezio and dissecting his attitude while he's obviously in emotional pain? Come on. too bad the red sox and yankees arent playing tonight...i mean is there really no other options to show than this game...such as the pirates-cubs :lol:

I was watching it for a little bit. Such a bad situation, hard to watch. For the first, and probably last time in my life, I hope they pull out a win today. i agree...especially if the cubs win cuz then it wont hurt the cubs in the standings
