I didn't mean to infer that Young was as good as Dunn, I just think Dunn would be at least as expensive as Abreau. Young is a very similar hitter to Huff, and his 8 mill contract means we could get him cheaply. The Cubs can afford the contract more than they can afford losing Z or Prior. I would rather have Young's .290 and 25 with Z in the rotation than Dunn's .250 and 45 (and 100 walks) and Williams taking Zambrano's place. -
How about Dmitri Young for RF? He's in the last year of his contract, has a big bat, switch hits, and has worn out his welcome in Detroit. Word is he is dropping weight to play OF with Rondell White gone. He's no worse in the outfield than Huff or Dunn and much cheaper.
