  1. Thanks UBlink. I was just wondering so I thought it would make sense to ask somebody who follows the team all of the team instead of blowing off homework to dig through box scores.
  2. That's true but it's true no matter whether you stick greenberg or corey patterson in there. Sorry if I asked a question about a diamond jaxx player. I guess I should just go sort through every box score from every year greenberg played in the minor leagues to figure it out instead of asking someone who follows them all of the time.
  3. uh ok I thought it would be easier to ask people who follow it. I guess I'll live happily ever after without knowing or listening -- have to turn off the broadcast to pull up all those old boxscores. Thanks.
  4. so can adam greenberg play CF? Everybody on sportstalk always blabs about pie but I'm wondering if greenberg can fill in until pie is really ready.
  5. how long has sing been batting #5?
  6. If he starts out at daytona they better watch him and give him the chance to move up if he's doing well and not wait until the whole season is almost over. He finished really strong plus he has a clue about hitting for sitations so hopefully he can move fast now or at least faster.
  7. If you go to minorleaguebaseball.com and click on the standings on the top of the page you can look up the standings for all the team. You have to know what league they're in though.
  8. OK I'm listening to the diamond jaxx in the playoffs. Awesome. The audio is kind of hissy though.
  9. Jerry Blevins. He was taking care of my sunglasses and cleaning them. I thought it might be coming sometime over the weekend but not then because i had team president Rocky Vonachen on air with me. Turns out he was in on it as well though the plan was hatched by our strength guy Mitch Poche with aid from Trainer Matt Johnson and Julio Garcia. We did break the attendance record. One of those 2 rainout we got to count because we opened gates and played 2 innings. So we got the suspended game and QC got the regularly scheduled game. There is a piece on the record breakers on the team website but we went from 254,407 to 256,612!!!! And if i do get a share (which i dont), i havent seen it yet! LOL, hard to get revenge when there's only one game left! I read here that Jesse Estrada got the most improved award. What are the splits from early in the year and then later? Thanks.
  10. Maddux is a class act. I always hear about all these other pitchers who can supposedly pitch better than he could but they never actually do it for more than a couple starts, like Williams and Mitre and Rusch and whoever else. He'll be overpaid next year but I'd rather pay somebody who's pitching than pay something who hardly ever does. Thanks for the notice because I will party when he vests!
  11. LOL! who's that who's helping? Did you know it was coming? Did peoria end up breaking the attendance record? Didn't they get screwed out of some home games when those games got rained out and then they played them in iowa? Do you get to share in the $$ they take in when that happens?
  12. So where are we supposed to be posting? here or in the other thread?
  13. I think the leagues have some rules for when teams have to play day or night games and it depends on how far the home team city is from the away team city. At least that's how Andy Mcphale made it sound at the cubs convention before when he said that houston is for some reason in the zone where they can decide when to play the games when the cubs are in town and they always screw the cubs over with night games on getaway days.
  14. How come they didn't win it in the first half? If you look at who was on the team it sure seems like they should have done better than they did. They had the batting average leader and the era leader plus Gallagher is still leading in wins now I think, and he started off so good right away. I know Harvey was hurt and didn't play some in the first half but he's still leading in HRs and rbis now. Montanez had a good halfseason in Peoria before leaving and Shaver and Weber were solid even if Weber got cheated on some wins. Was it mainly becaues the bullpen was bad? Or maybe just bad luck? Hope they can pull off the wild card now.
  15. yeah getting the food advice is what its all about!
  16. I meant joke around with Moreland and not rip on him. good interview thanks!
  17. Crap I'll be PO'd if they trade Walker and we get some scrub or hairston playing there next year
  18. night games don't bug me during semesters because I can just study instead of really watching especially since the cubs suck now. Maybe I'll just mute out the tv and listen to the minor league game anyway. I can watch prior and listen to guzman it'll be like a head-to-head pitching fight.
  19. Wish I could go but I've got to get my car fixed and there goes all my spare money.
  20. Thanks thats some complicated playoff formullas. It'd be funny if they made it in with almost a totally differant team now.
  21. Congrats to Sean Gallagher even if its just for one more start. He's deserved a promotion for awhile now. Kind of sucks for Peoria to lose him when they need to win. are the Daytona Cubs in the playoffs?
  22. Hello and thank you for answering our questions. Was it tough for you to get used to playing in cold weather in Boise and Peoria? Did you ever have games snowed out before? what's the coldest game you played in? Just wondering. THanks and good luck the rest of the season!
  23. I have a question thats not all about Eric Patterson. The Miami Herlad articles are interesting. When you interned for the Chiefs before they hired you on fulltime did you get to do any broadcasting then? What were your main jobs then? Did you always know you wanted to do baseball broadcasting because it seems like your internships were both baseball? Or did you think about basketball or football broadcasting too? Thanks for all the other answers, too.
  24. I have more hope that Eric Patterson will pan out than Corey anymore.
