  2. Do tell. I hope the pie subthread extends for the entire game Sorry. It'll end as soon as I get an answer.
  3. who dosent? Me. The player yes, the dessert no. How can anyone not find a pie of some sort that they enjoy? It's not a matter of flavor. I just prefer the way cake is made.

  5. Along the same lines of the last 3 or 4 posts, I know a player personnel exec. for a Canadian Football team and asked him about how one goes about getting into that line of work (I have some collegiate football experience, so know something about that area). He suggested he might be able to help me get a foot in the door (probably as an intern) with an NFL team. I see him regularly at the gym, but have not further discussed the matter with him. I've been meaning to develop a list of questions (paid internship, length of internship, location, job afterward, benefits if it becomes a full job...), but couldn't think of many more. I'd really like to do it, but could use some suggestions on what else I should inquire about. Anyone have any thoughts?
  6. He's not a free agent is he? I thought he was just having a little tiff with the Steelers. If he goes anywhere he probably ends up in Arizona with his ex-coach. No, I don't think he is a FA. And you're right, he has a strong relationship with his former coach, but as you know $$$ talks. Oh that and it's the Cardinals. We're in much worse shape @ T than G though depth-wise. We've got 3 pretty good G for this year, and another coming in. It's really about T now. I certainly realized the depth situation at G vs. T, but since Brown was pointed out, I thought I'd address it.

  8. I would have liked to see a little more effort to get another O-lineman, but I won't get too upset about it right now. Keep in mind that there will likely be some offseason acquisitions. I think that might be a good time to address the OL. I'd like to see them make an effort for one of the best guards in the game in Alan Faneca.
  9. WTH is up with the Bears and their love affair with UoF QBs? I don't get it. Eh, this one doesn't really matter to me. He'll likely be practice squad fodder.
  10. Good for him.
  11. Where is "all of the above"? Actually, I don't hate the Cubs. I just hate the way they play.
  12. I only caught the end of the game, but between what I heard from that moron Walton and his cohorts and the guys on Basketball Studio, you'd think the Bulls shouldn't even show up for the playoffs. All that I kept hearing was how demoralizing this loss was. Come on guys, was it REALLY that bad? Yeah it sucks, but these guys are pros.
  13. Thanks for summing my thoughts up to a "T". Beyond that, let me know when taking steroids (in regards to baseball only) leads to improved hand-eye coordination. When that happens then I'll get my drawers in a twist. Until that time the only thing it seems to do for a baseball player is prolong the inevitable. Yes, it is technically cheating, but does it enhance actual performance (at least as it pertains to hitters)? Doubtful. Pitchers may be another story entirely, but given that most of the presumed guitly are hitters, even that seems unlikely.
  14. Amazing how Astros always get hot against the Cubs. Or how the Cubs are always the team that gets the Astros going.
  15. There's your problem. Don't think. The Cubs obviously don't, why should you?
  16. It wasn't that way pre-TJ surgery. I didn't think it was this bad post TJS. I remember it being much better than this. Pre-surgery he was flat out amazing, like Vizquel in his prime. Our scouts botched this one big time. Oh I definitely remember his pre-TJS arm.
