No need for patience right there. He got a pitch he liked and hit it to the wall Patience is NEVER a bad thing, IMO. It was the guys first pitch in the game. I agree patience is never bad, however with Aram he got a pitch he liked and drove it cant really complain. On NSBB, there's always a reason to complain. It's in the User Agreement. It's basic baseball. No reason not to take the first pitch in that situation. It's not like the guy grooved a fastball, IIRC. Eh, whatever. I just rewatched it-a fastball right down the middle. Ramirez hit the best pitch he was going to see in that at-bat. Maybe, maybe not. Regardless, if/when the Cubs lose, it definitely won't be because of that. JMO, but I've never really seen the value in swinging on 0-0 counts.
