    I don't think it would be too bad if he just spent some time with the team, and throws some side sessions for Larry so he can see how he has come since ST and perhaps help him with his secondary pitches. The guy, though paid handsomely, sacrificed a lot to be a Cub, giving him a little time with the big league club could be a thank you to him. I don't think this is a situation where they want to call him up and ask him to hold a tight game or start a game.

    ESPN is sure having bad luck trying to broadcast Cubs/Cardinals games this season.

    I might have the wrong country, but I know last year there was a country with quite a bit of Americans on it due to a lot of families living there due to a big oil rig. I think it might have been Saudi Arabia.

    I don't ever recall getting the sense that people here believed Jones was 'done'. They just thought he wasn't worth the money. One major difference between the two is that our GM didn't trade one of our best hitters for a below-average leadoff hitter and trumpet it as a smart move. three pitching prospects is better? Wouldn't you trade those three for Carlos Lee in a heartbeat? not with his contract. er, maybe. I probably would have at the time of the Sox/Brewers trade.... though probably not knowing what I know now about those 2 years he would have been a Cub (CLee wouldn't have helped '05 or '06)
