    Good thing I wasn't expecting a victory against Doug Davis given our history with him.

    20 Straight for Greg is a record, Sutton has 21 overall. Maddux is awesome.

    Just saw that with win #10 last night, Greg Maddux has won at least 10 games for 20 straight years. Not exactly a 'sexy' record, but really speaks to Maddux's durability and consistency.

    Yup (unless it's Campusano - who also fits the lefty bill). he's the guy the Tigers have right now, right? So it would be Monroe for the right not to have to keep him on the 25 man next year?

    hey hey we got a d backs fan. Don't be so sure about Davis, he pretty much always shut out the Cubs as a Brewer.

    Rich has looked a lot sharper lately. Hopefully he pitches down the stretch like did last year (and the beginning of this year).

    lefty with no mlb experience... If I was the Astros I'd save his debut for the Cubs to build the young man some confidence.

    Tigers becoming the Cubs salary dump? replacing Ohman's 1.6mill with Rapada/Piggy's league minimum doesn't seem like that big of deal but with uncertain ownership / financial situation it might be. Though with the obvious price tag of the Cubs along with the well known about already handed out huge contracts, I'm beginning to not see the new owner being a penny pincher when it comes to payroll.
