  1. The Cubs playing .800 baseball in September would be a nice change of pace as well.
  2. yeah that worked out beautifully :D
  3. an Aramis HR would be a nice change of pace
  4. I believe I read that somewhere. I didn't see it in your stat sheet, which are awesome by the way. page 1 CUBS are 17-10 when Marquis starts Marquis is 12 of 27 in quality starts Marquis has 1 consecutive non-quality start(s) Marquis' ERA pitching to Barrett is 2.73.... to Blanco it's 7.84.... to K. Hill it's 4.63.... to Bowen it's 7.84.... to Soto it's 13.50.... to Kendall it's 4.06 CUBS score 4.57 R/G overall.... 5.44 R/G when Marquis pitches CUBS hit 0.80 HR/G overall.... 1.04 HR/G when Marquis pitches
  5. Anybody else get the feeling Marquis pitches to his offensive support? When he gets no support he pitches well, when he gets runs he gives up runs. No data to support that but that's the way it seems to me.
  6. Just wish you would be bringing a little more exciting news.
  7. semi-annual thanks Fred post. Following the game through you right now with backup from the other less user friendly pbp sources.
  8. time fore the game winning hit by the pitcher?
  9. Monroe has more service time dude
  10. Sure sign that it's September - Cubbie domination by a rookie southpaw.
  11. I don't think anybody expects Geovony to be anywhere near what he put up this year at AAA. The main thing is, Hendry and the Cubs made no effort to Capitalize on his hot bat at all. For pretty much the entire year catcher was a black hole, and all Soto got was 7 AB. It seem very likely that Soto would have played better defense and had better offense than pretty much anybody that played at the catcher for the Cubs this year outside of Kendall's offense after his slow start with the Cubs. I'm wary of giving Soto the starers job, and Soto/Blanco tandem doesn't exactly exude much confidence either.
  12. Jose Ceda keeps his no hitter in tact
  13. Yeah I think that Marmol can be a good / decent starter, but an outstanding late inning guy.
  14. i have a feeling this won't start or end well.
  15. (Ankiel) I'm already predicting Mulder to be completely lights out.
  16. Turnbow holds the Pirates in the 8th
  17. 8 1/3 no hit innings. Double play away from it. JINX, Sweeney breaks it up as a PH.
  18. perfect game out the window on a leadoff walk
  19. Braun grounds out with 2 on, to the 8th.
  20. Gallardo out of the game
  21. Pirates get 1, but really messed up a chance at more. 3-2 mid 7.
  22. 2-2 after 7 for the Smokies. Holliman got the start.
