Yeah I'm missing the Nevin stuff too, I thought maybe he had some sort of insane year that I missed but he retired like I thought, and If he's gloating that he predicted an old guy retiring than congrats I guess. [edit - just got beat by the real explanation.]

Ted Lilly @ Doug Davis from earlier in the year was nearly a carbon copy of last night's game Davis 7.0IP, 6H, 1ER, 1BB, 8K then Lyon and Vavlerde shut it down, D-Backs won 3-1 That game was Aug 25, since then Aug 30 - 6.2 IP 3 runs in a win against San Diego Sep 4 - 7.0ip 1 run in a win against Sand Diego Sep 9 - 4 ip 4 run against St Louis Sep 14 - 4.2 ip, 6 run, 4 er against the dodgers Sep 19 - 4.2ip, 4 runs against the Giants Sep 25 - 5ip, 2 runs against the Pirates So basically Davis has not pitched over 5 innings in exactly 1 month... that scares me. -

what makes everyone so sure the brewers will be better next year than they were this year? Braun and Fielder won't be better - where are they upgrading so dramatically? SP should be better, full year of Gallardo, Capuano might bounce back. Chance of upgrade in the OF in the Mench/Jenkins spot, Bill Hall might bounce back.
