    holy horsefeathers. tomorrow is the world series. the cubs are in it. I watched the Maddon/Lester press conference and every time 'World Series' was said it hit me again each time.

    btw as of 5:30 pm tonight the sign still doesn't read AC0000108. Kind of annoyed by how much that annoys me.

    I don't know if you can go from much bigger of a contrast as playing in front of that crowd on Monday to Game 1 of the World Series on Tuesday.

    Chapman hittable? I know they are two huge caveats (and bring the sample way down) but who has hit Chapman in a clean or 1 person on inning, in a close game? Buster Posey hit a double I think that's it.

    Was curious what it was, so I just did the quick math and during the the first five years of the Theo, Jed, Jason regime the Cubs record is 400-409-1 I did not expect that winning percentage, obviously propped up by the 200 wins the last two, but I guess the first 3 years are magnified by how awful they were and bleed in with the 2 awful years before they got here.

    Now that it's official how about Game 1 and/or 2 ? I'd go, I'm sure there's someone better to plan it though.

    The Indians will not be scared to run like the Dodgers, Lester's going to need to keep the bases as clear as possible and Ross is going to need to be on point. Also might want to think about going back to the regular season Lester alignment of Javy at 3rd if they're going to be bunting.

    Reading the WSI thread just made me sad. I can't imagine getting so worked up over another sports team like that. Sure I dislike the Cardinals and Packers but when they win it's just a minor annoyance in my life.
