  1. Jake did not have a nice no hitter anniversary. August 30, 2015 - 9IP, 0H, 0R, 1BB, 12K August 30, 2020 - 1 1/3 IP, 6H, 7ER, 3BB, 0K - fewest pitches thrown in a start in his career (46)
  2. From Rosenthal's latest. If the price is right wouldn't mind grabbing Kiké Hernandez to further fortify the bench. weird how he frames it as some bold strategy, best case scenario they are trying to make another trade they are working on payroll neutral worst case they are trying to lower payroll.
  3. about Strop going to Chicago, i'm guessing a) the Cubs want their Dr.'s to look at him, or b) he may still own a place here and he's going there
  4. Never mind Mets still the Mets... he misunderstood it was actually Wilpon’s idea not Manfred
  5. Is it going to be the Mets that finally rid baseball of Rob Manfred? (Probably not)
  6. nice validation for always liking Peanut more
  7. I don't know if its the lack of pre-season games or just a mix of everything else in the world, but it doesn't make sense to my brain that the NFL season starts in 2 weeks.
  8. I'm guessing teams kept these employees as long as they did hoping another round of PPP loans was coming
  9. Most if not all teams are doing it. I know the Yankees just did. Not saying it's right or good.
  10. [tweet] [/tweet]
  11. there should be someone in the stadium that is watching the strike zone and can immediately overturn completely egregious calls like these. as a step between the crap now and full electronic zone
  12. Addison Russ is trending on twitter and I thought it maybe some dumb team rescued Russell from South Korea, but there is actually a pitcher named Addison Russ that the Yankees just traded for was real tempted to make a thread "The Yankees are going to take a chance on Addison Russ"
  13. bring Dan Vogelbach home, he'd get the same amount of hits as Almora but they'd be majestic dongs
  14. So probably not much difference between 4 and 7, but it's nice just to be off 7 finally
  15. WE DID IT BOYS TOP 4
  16. in the year 2020 a 56 year old man claiming he didn't know it's a bad thing to say is almost more offensive than saying it.
  17. I came out of the stands for the super emergency start and now here we are. Putting this up now before I forget. The White Sox are putting a guy on the mound that is most famous for saying the Astros would repeat as champions because they're not the Cubs... only for his team to be eliminated in their bid to repeat in the exact same round in the exact same number of games as the Cubs did in their repeat bid. There were also most probably cheating while getting beat. Unfortunately he's also famous for being the exact type of pitcher that the Chicago Cubs can never do anything against no matter what players are on the team. The Cubs counter with Chicago Cubs legend and postseason hero Jonathan Tyler Lester.
  18. In an interview with Bulls.com AK seems to have some confidence that the draft is better than people think it is, he probably wouldn't come out and say it's bad but it's something.
  19. tonight is ping pong ball night can end up with 1-4, or 7-11 While 7 would be the fitting and funny result, I have a feeling they are going to drop to 9.
  20. well this should be nice and easy
  21. holy horsefeathers oh no we have to pitch again
  22. this is going to be infuriating
