    I was in Wrigleyville over the weekend and it really hit me what a monster Ricketts has created that is going to be needed to be continually fed with people. While there is much there that can be Cubs independent and the Cubs are a tourist attraction in themselves so their floor attendance is going to be higher than the average team I still get the impression that a bad team would be a nightmare financially. I guess all that is to say - sign Harper.

    I was in Sports World over the weekend doing some Christmas shopping and I overheard this from a guy 50s-ish with Yankees hat on, to an employee, "Now Addison Street, that's not for Addison Russell is it?"

    I don't think the return will be interesting enough for a 38 year old that will need to work a catchers schedule (at most) to be effective. Unless they are at a a charging players for the vending machine level of having no money.
