  2. [tweet] [/tweet] Here's your red ass that everybody on the team hates
  3. If you are bored check out https://twitter.com/WTraymor He started yesterday, claims to be at the winter meetings seems real legit [tweet]https://twitter.com/WTraymor/status/1072927895553748992[/tweet] [tweet]https://twitter.com/WTraymor/status/1072929201748144128[/tweet]

  6. Yeah he's about to go from complete no trade to 12 team no trade - full no-trade protection for 2016-18, may block deals to 12 clubs in 2019-20, may block all deals after 2020 season as 10-and-5 player Not sure would this be considered 2019 in baseball terms? Maybe they have a trade in place but have to wait till the new year so they don't have to ask him to sign off.
  7. This is certainly interesting Da Cat - 18 hours ago [tweet] [/tweet] The Reddit guy - 14 hours ago RickGeresGerbilWheel Not sure I believe the recent talk, but it sounds like the Cubs are attaching guys like Alozay to guys like Chatty or J-Hey to make things easier to swallow.
  8. To play devil's advocate on that Gonzales report about needing to move stuff to bring in reliever(s), that may be more of a logistics issue looking at the pitchers, let's just assume health for the starters for sake of argument 1. Lester, 2. Hendricks, 3. Darvish, 4. Quintana, 5. Hamels then we have 1. Chatwood 2. Cishek 3. Duensing 4. Edwards 5. Kintzler 6. Montgomery 7. Morrow (obvisously on track to start the season on the DL, but in a perfect world that doesn't last that long) 8. Rosario (can be sent down) 9. Ryan (he was signed to a major league deal, so he makes the roster or is exposed to waivers right ?) 10. Strop 11. Wick (not sure if this guy has options ?)
  9. hanging out with Marlins Man [tweet] [/tweet]
  10. remember the good old days when this thread was about pizza?
  11. [tweet] [/tweet] A whole lot of nothing, Theo seems depressed... or hungover.
  12. Was anybody talking about Cards being in on Britton before Heyman? [tweet] [/tweet] [tweet] [/tweet]
  13. This isn’t even a little bit true for Lester or Ohtani we didn't know the details is what I'm saying. If we are selectively believing reports, I'm pretty sure their are non cat sources that have said the Cubs met with Harper.
  14. And they didn't hand him a blank check, and I'm pretty sure they didn't even offer him the biggest contract.
  15. What if they have done/will do that over the top pitch? We didn't really know about the Lester/Heyward/Ohtani pitches they did until after the fact. I doubt money even comes up at those things anyways. edit: ha, me and Cubswin said pretty much the same thing at the same time
  16. I don't know a lot, but I do know if Bryce really wants to be a Cub he'll be a Cub.
  17. somebody @'ed Jesse Rogers into Loxas tweet and he responded [tweet] [/tweet] [tweet] [/tweet]
  18. If you either want to further convince yourself that they are both wrong or both right [tweet] [/tweet]
  19. Didn't we decide that Loxas was a questionable source? So far the optimistic reports are from Plesac (not based on actual news just speculation), Dicaro, Charles the Cat and Tom Loxas. The pessimistic reports are from everyone else. Well than it is even weirder to be upset about it then.
  20. Seems weird to be upset about the most optimistic piece of Cubs/Harper information that's come out. Cubs not out, Harper wants to be here. If the Cubs know Harper wants to be here, wouldn't it be smart to put out what they've been putting out for negotiation purposes?
  21. [tweet] [/tweet][tweet] [/tweet]
  22. there was actually a follow up quote from Hoyer, where he said "leadership" was fine with the pitchers so I guess Hamels and Lester can't be leaders for the position players. Maybe they want a player that can be a red ass and the rest of the team can hate, and Lester is only that when he's pitching. This crap and the Bulls new "leadership committee" real dumb times in this city.
  23. I know, I know... but this is the only fun I'm getting out of this offseason [tweet] [/tweet] the guy pretending to leak information says the Cubs are in because there are no leaks.
  24. It is kind of fitting the last time the Bears clinched the NFC North they ended Favre's career.
