    It wasn't a bad pitch. Abreu is a good hitter. I know but he's been a bit of slump since the ASB, doesn't surprise me that he is starting to break out of it against the Cubs.

    Good to see, even though against AA pitching, Nomar hitting the ball hard. He was not getting good swings before the injury during his slump.

    It looks like Conor Jackson was called up to play on the uneven side of a R/L platoon at first base, also with a converted pinch hitter. the only redeeming thing is at least the D'Backs pinch hitter is having a great year. And while Dubois & Murton are talented guys, the D'Backs Conor Jackson is 10 times the prospect either of them ever were. Called up 7/28, D'Backs have had 5 games, he's started 1 (4ABs) and has pinch hit in 2 of them (1 officiall AB) If I was a D'Backs fan I would be '](*,)'

    I think I was, at the July 4th game in Geneva. Wasn't close enough to hear anything to the extent of the guy above. But she was the only one that cheared when he was announced, she looked worried as he was being smacked around, and she wasn't there after like the 3rd inning (after Grant had left the game).

    You can have him for Pujols (Albert, not his nephew). I might consider Carp + a mid level prospect.

    Dempster has pitched in a save situation 17 times this season, the Cubs have won 17 of those contests. HMMMMMMM
