  1. Woo Chiefs game was great. I didn't know that that was Luis Riviera's Peoria debut I had just thought i hadn't heard of him. He stopped a screamer with his body, and quickly threw out the runner, and snagged the liner WAY above his head and than quickly doubled off the guy at 2nd. He looked very solid on defense, struck out twice in 3 AB though. Carlos Bernard hit one to left about a mile high, and I thought it was gone but it was caught at the track. When he came back to the dugout he had the biggest smile on his face, I liked that. His next at bat he hits one, it looked to be not squarely hit. The right fielder moved over a little medium depth I thought it was barely hit so I was watching him to see him catch it, but out of the corner of my eye it somehow dropped over the fence. Serena refered to the Harvey hit as seeing-eye , it was a swinging bunt that somehow stopped half way between home and third right at the cusp of the grass. I have no Idea how it didn't go foul. He scored all the way from first on ball hit to the wall, didn't know big boy could run that far :) Patterson's triple was STANDING without a throw to third. he cruised around and the ball was smacked. He looked realy solid on defense as well. Fuld's home run was a line drive, and he had a couple of great catches including the first out. Gallagher was pitching in and out of trouble. Twice had 2 on no out, both times got a double play. I know the 2nd he k'd the next, the first time he walked a guy and gave up the 2RBI double. I HAVE LOTS OF VIDEO!! - will make a new post either later tonight or tomorrow!
  2. I wouldn't call Nomar a free agent signing. he was traded for and resigned, he was coming off an injury and settled for 8Mill, either there was no interest or his wanting to stay in Chicago was 10x times anything Hendry did to get it done
  3. What big name free agents has Hendry signed??? Maddux (not much if any competition) Hawkins (home town advantage)
  4. i'll be going to the chiefs game tonight, and will probably see more heart and actuall baseball skill from the early 20 somethings than this collection. sigh
  5. How'd the 4 runs for the Phillies score in the 1st? Do I want to know? 2 singles, walk, Abreu with a grand slam (his first HR since ASB.)
  6. At least we scored 4 runs, it's been awhile since we've done that (besides the garbage time blowout runs against AZ, I think the last game vs. STL was the last 4+ runs).
  7. with Novoa the gas can in, maybe we won't see Wagner.
  8. Barrett Lawton Walker Lee for the 9th, It could be worse I guess.
  9. Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope. Obi-Wan White was robbed by the dark side there.
  10. once again pop outs leave this park
  11. I like him even more now, he looks like a gamer. I'd rather have him than Novoa just by his looks
  12. yep, Wuertz with the day before you get sent down long outing
  13. I'm wearing my Derrek Lee all-star shirt today for the first time, he gets 2 hits.... Hmmmm. I'll have to keep it on :D
  14. We have to at least tie it here, I'm not real confident against Madsen/Wagner.
  15. I wonder if Dlee and Aram remember how to hit home runs????
  16. and Wuertz is on deck, the one time a double switch makes sense Dusty doesn't do it.
  17. So will Hendry send Wuertz to Iowa, or is Remlinger finally going to be flushed (and then picked up by the Yankees  )
  18. Hopefully he can get out of this, and PH him in the 6th. Holy crap O's fire Mazzili, maybe Hendry will get some ideas :D
