    Really, I thought it looked good. I thought it was low. The DBacks have been yappin' all night, this ump isn't having any of it. Although I'm glad the calls are going our way for once, umps really need to be taken to task for stuff like this. Calling a pitch a ball for one team and a strike for another just because you're pissed at them hurts the integrity of the game.

    Yeah he's horrible. I don't know who he is. Daron Sutton... whoever that is. I enjoy listening to the Arizona broadcasts just for Grace though. He may not be the best color guy, but he keeps me entertained. Daron Sutton was better than Matt Vasgerian. Although the pile my dog left on my neighbor's lawn was better than Matt Vasgersian.

Yost just PH for their first reliever, after he threw six pitches. brewers are going to start the second inning with their third pitcher of the game. wow what the hell is Yost thinkin Yost plain doesn't know how to manage a bullpen. You'd think a former catcher would at least have SOME clue. it would be hilarious if he had to use a starter to finish the game capuano in lol Freaking hysterical. Alot of Brewer fans have been calling for Yost's head before tonight, imagine it now I saw Yost's idiocy in handling a pitching staff during that Mets series in Milwaukee a while back. Never have I thought there would be a manager who made Dusty Baker look smart.

    That's been going on for as long as our struggles with mediocre lefties has. Do they just not get pumped up enough to play the Reds, Pirates, etc? If so, that falls on Piniella, although it was like that under Dusty as well. It's like they don't think they have to play as hard against those teams, and a lot of the time it looks like they're half-assing it.

    As I said in the game thread, if the Cubs win the division it's not because they were the best team, it'll be because they sucked the least. Ummmm, wouldn't sucking the least mean they were the best team? Not really. Every team in this division sucks, and if they were in any other division in baseball, they'd be hopelessly out of any race by now. It's just that whoever wins sucks the least. Got it?

    I think we're all lowering our expectations so when the inevitable comes, we're not let down. That's how you have to be. Hope for the best, but expect the worst.

    Personally, I wouldn't say anything. But I think most guys still recognize the value of giving it an honest effort even in a sure loss. There's no reason to tank an AB and hurt your personal stats if you can help it. Did the Rangers take out a lot of their starters and let the backups/kids play? There is something to be said for sportsmanship, too. You don't need your heavy hitters in there late in the game when you're up by 20+ runs. I'm just merely asking, though, and not being accusitory towards Texas.
