  1. I have a feeling the Reds are not done scoring. It'll definately take more than 4 runs for us to beat them.
  2. Well its early, and Todd Walker continues to rip Claussen. Hopefully we can scrap a few runs!
  3. I think you are giving both to much credit there Dusty for thinking of a smart lineup and Hendry for having the balls to tell Dusty what to do Perhaps it was the media's influence or the fact that they lost 500 straight!
  4. All that means is that we'll score 2 runs and lose!
  5. You can create the same thread but insert Orlando Cabrera into it instead. While he was never a great offensive threat, he certainly has stunk up this season.
  6. For this year yeah, but what about in past years or future years if they are to remain in the division. If I recall correctly, I believe the W-L is pretty close.
  7. I am all for this kind of set up as long as the Cubs get dibs on the Pirates being in their division. Nothing like beating up your own AAAA affiliate I always say. In order for that to happen, doesn't that require the Cubs to actually beat up the Pirates?
  8. It wasn't his only mistake. Try standing behind him for so long to justify his hiring. That is a big mistake. There have been others as well, even if the good outweight the bad.
  9. On the defensive side, I was pretty happy with Burnitz's homer robbing catch in St. Louis.
  10. Which should mean we wont be losing for long. NO reason to accept it now.
  11. Pat and Ron seem to think Macias had a chance to catch it. What did you all seeing it think?
  12. Yes it is pretty sad when Blanco is leading every offensive category. Small sample size or not...
  13. I don't doubt that one bit, but why hasn't any one else asked what exactly Neifi saved us from and when?
  14. ... About when Nomar gets back and being pushed to play Cedeno, I believe he stated what was he supposed to do take Neifi out, he's saved us. First let me say I hope this isn't a rehash of an old topic. Now I know I am preaching to the choir here, but I can't believe the media doesn't rip him on this. What exactly did he save us from? We are only a few games over .500, and while we are relatively close in the wild card it isn't a sure bet either. Also he "saved" us for all of one month, April, where he hit .360 w/ a .400 obp. He wasn't the only one hitting well that month, and ever since April he has had a sub .300 obp. It appears the only thing Neifi has saved the Cubs from is Dusty having to play a rookie.
  15. Rude as in he tried to grope you in the airplane lavatory?
  16. All right let's turn this ship around!!! Save us Matt Lawton!
  17. Lets get out of this mess Jerome!! 2 down, men on 1st and 3rd!!
  18. Then why doesn't Neifi ever get booed? For the same reason Rusch didn't get booed when he was sucking in the bull pen. They are perceived to carry the team for a short period of time. (Neifi in April and Rusch for being the spot starter) The truth is they deserve to hear some boo's. It looks like Rusch may be turning it around however.
  19. Hey just got in, not sure if this has been addressed in this or previous game threads, but why does Baker bat burnitz behind Lee and not Aram? Is the RLR matchup that important? I think Aram could provide better protection.
  20. This is the 2nd time someone has advanced to 2nd on the throw. Are these legitimate shots at gunning someone out at the plate, or just bad baseball? I'm on gameday and can't tell.
