  1. On a night that included Corey Patterson and Jason Dubois getting sent to AAA while Matt Murton and Adam Greenberg received "The Call", Ron Potesta, "The Voice of the Diamond Jaxx", joined FlashChat for an impromptu chat on the events of the evening. Here are some of the excerpts: On Murton and Greenberg in the big leagues: trust me.. THEY ARE GOING TO GET TIME there is nothing lateral about the move Greenberg will be in CF as early as tomorrow night, Murton is fine.. he will hit well up there.. this is a great move by Hendry.. just sit back and watch what happens.. I truly believe this move is going to jump start this team Murton will play.. not as much as Greenberg short term.. but they will both get their AB's Murton will play some LF.. we get Hoffpauir from Triple-A Iowa and Creighton from High-A Daytona these moves told me that the Cubs know the meat of their team lies in West Tenn In regards to Bobby Dickerson's feelings on the roster moves: Bobby loves it.. It's a reflection on he and the coaching Murton has to be replaced (in the Southern League All-Star Game).. Sing or Theriot might replace him.. thats up to the league Von is the man.. there isn't a better hitting coach in the organization i don't think anybody anticipated the losing skid.. i really think this is a move to jolt the team back into their winning ways. Delmon Young is a stud.. He is going to be a flat-out superstar.. don't be surprised to see both Murton and Greenberg in the line-up tomorrow night
  2. Thank you for mentioning that! Serena has been helping in so many ways in regards to the sessions that we are enjoying at NSBB. Be sure to take the time to thank her as well for all of her hard work and dedication! =D>
  3. On this very pitch Murton ripped the ball for a double http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v472/DJAXXFAN/Jaxx%20Memorial%20Day/a24da8dd.jpg
  4. Here you go, CT, these are for you... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v472/DJAXXFAN/May%2027%20Jaxx%20Game/b2fad4ee.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v472/DJAXXFAN/May%2027%20Jaxx%20Game/e9d83ba8.jpg
  5. =D> In honor of Murton and Greenberg
  6. Quick reminder that the Murton Q & A is still posted for reading.
  7. If Hendry had a different way of doing things, they probably would have already been done. Neither Murton or Greenberg are going to be starting, I'd assume. This doesn't make any sense at all. I'll wait to hear what Jim says, but I sense disaster. I don't like this one bit. I'm with you. I hope I'm wrong but I see the kids getting hurt in this one. At the minimum, Hendry absolutely has to know what he has for next season. Instead of seeing what he has in Patterson, Dubois, and Cedeno, the veterans are playing. And now he's going to hurt two other players by making the waste away on the bench? Simply amazing. Ugh. I'm sure that he's flooded but I had better drop Matt a note of congrats.

No way Hendry is that daft when it comes to player development...something is up, big time. I'm hoping you're right. If Murton and Greenberg rides the bench I'll be more than upset. *looking for his July 23rd tickets for Cubs/Cards at Busch*

  10. I feel Vance should have shotgun, he's probably wearing his jersey as we speak!
  11. Wow, remember when we had Murton as a guest? NSBB....ahead of the game!
  12. I hope he's coming to West Tenn, I'll so hang out with him
  13. Not to mention it's Mark Prior action figure and Zooperstars night! Unreal!
  14. Everyone be sure to check the announcement at the top of Baseball Discussions or the Minor League Forum (It's the same announcement in both forums)
  15. Well the bad news is that teh game got rained out and the NSBB shout got washed. The good news is that I'll get a DH and Ron can have me live on the pregame (if he wants).
  16. From the site of the Smokies...
  17. Ugh, the game has been rained out!
  18. Greetings Nathan and thank you so much for joining us! Welcome to the forum!
  19. Do as I did and forget the bad! That's great, congrats!
  20. Hey Nathan, thanks so much for joining us here at NSBB! I wanted to ask a few questions in regards to broadcasting: 1) Who is your favorite broadcaster (Other than yourself ) ? 2) If you had to pick one call that you've made, what would you cite as the best call that you have ever made and what were the circumstances of it? 3) If you had to pick your favorite call that another broadcaster made, which one would it be? Thanks again!
