  2. <------------------Would love to see some of our rookies in the game
  3. another jinx Jinxes=Excuses Pujols didn't get on base because I said that Glendon has faced the minimum, he got on base because Glendon walked him.
  4. ha ha, Glendon still in line to face the minimum
  5. Oh well, Glendon's still mowing 'em down
  6. Not yet. The Boise broadcasts are awesome - they talk about EVERYTHING. They were talking about who the next Chief Justice would be, Boise State football, the Cubs minor league report, etc. Whoa, that sounds great!
  7. Don't believe they've started yet. Thanks. I e-mailed the Jaxx individual records to Bob and Len in the booth in an effort to get some extra love for the Jaxx. I know they've already talked about the Minors, but additional love never hurts.
  8. <--------------really enjoying this game
  9. Have they given an update on the Tri-City score?
  10. Of course. Ahhhh, but where was he when we needed him? AAA
  11. I'm enjoying it, even if the rookies aren't playing!
  12. ha ha, Brenly commenting on why you play the kids in September, oops
  13. For those of you needing relief, the Jaxx open the Southern League playoffs tomorrow night. You can listen to the game at diamondjaxx.com
  14. ha ha, worthless lineup. This is going to be the first Cub game I've actually watched a lot of, and that's only because the Jaxx are not playing tonight as they are getting ready for the playoffs.
  15. In other words, you still have hair.  ha ha
  16. If Ron is willing I'll take his picture and post it here at NSBB. Here's a press release on the shaving:
  17. From Bo: CUBS ATTENDANCE RECORD REACHES FINAL NUMBER DAYTONA BEACH, Fla -- If you build it, they will come. And if you add a gorgeous riverwalk and other first class features in a 1.5 million dollar renovation phase, they will come out in big numbers. That was certainly the case at Jackie Robinson Ballpark in 2005, as the Daytona Cubs wrapped up their record-breaking regular season at home on Sunday against the Brevard County Manatees. With an announced crowd of 2,005, the Cubs finished the season with a franchise record attendance number of 127,060, which shattered the previous record of 110,869 set just one year ago during the 2004 season. “Our whole staff is thrilled that we’ve had such an overwhelming reception from the community since we began our renovations last November,” said General Manager Bill Papierniak. “We are committed to constantly improving the gameday experience for our fans here at The Jack, and we hope that this year’s success can become a stepping stone for an even better future.” The attendance record is more impressive when considering the five openings the Cubs lost due to inclement weather. All five of those cancellations fell on either a weekend or during a popular promotional night, and those games could have easily pushed the attendance figures past the 140,000 mark. “I would once again like to thank the fans, the city of Daytona Beach, and everyone that made Jackie Robinson Ballpark such a special place to be in 2005,” said Papierniak. “It’s because of you that we are considered America’s pastime on the world’s most famous beach.”
  18. Not quite. Southern League playoffs begin Wednesday. And with them go my chances of sleep until the weekend. Go DJaxx! This is going to be a great week!
  19. Or "cleared" to run the bases *ducks*
