  1. I thought the game started at 6:05 CT, but the game starts at 7:05.
  2. Pat Listach, Manager of the West Tennessee Diamond Jaxx, has graciously agreed to answer questions from posters on NSBB! If you would like to send a comment to Pat, or if you would like to ask Pat a question, feel free to post it here. The deadline for submitting questions is Thursday, April 13th at noon. Once the interview has been completed, the responses will be posted. This session will be coordinated as in accordance with The NSBB Q & A Guidelines. Pat Listach, 38, is in his sixth season in the Cubs’ minor league organization. The former American League Rookie of the Year (1992) has spent the past five seasons as the hitting coach for the Triple-A Iowa Cubs. During the 2002 season, Listach also had a brief stint as the manager of the club. Before beginning his tenure with the Iowa Cubs, the Natchitoches, Louisiana, native served as the hitting coach for the Lansing Lugnuts (Class A) in 2000 and in the Arizona Fall League following the 2001 season. Listach was drafted out of Arizona State University in the fifth round of the 1988 draft by the Milwaukee Brewers. He played six seasons of Major League Baseball with the Milwaukee Brewers (1992-1996) and the Houston Astros (1997). Following the 1997 season, Listach completed his playing career by seeing action for the Cleveland Indians’ Triple-A affiliate and the Philadelphia Phillies’ Triple-A club in 1998. Listach and his wife Lisa have four children, Mariah, Hollie, Patrick, and Blaine. (Bio courtesy of The Official Website of the West Tennessee Diamond Jaxx.) Thank you to Pat for taking the time to interact with us on such an up close and personal level. Best wishes to Pat and the rest of the West Tennessee diamond Jaxx in the 2006 season. As always, thank you to all of you for making NSBB such a wonderful community!
  3. In honor of the start of the regular season for the West Tennessee Diamond Jaxx, here are copies of various records and the all-time roster for the Jaxx. 4. There's a Q & A posted in the Chat Schedule/Questions for Guests forum with Derek Ingram, new Broadcaster for the Daytona Cubs. Be sure to post lots of questions and comments!
  5. http://www.daytonacubs.com/staff/ingram.jpg Derek Ingram, Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations for the Daytona Cubs, has graciously agreed to answer questions from posters on NSBB! If you would like to send a comment to Derek, or if you would like to ask Derek a question, feel free to post it here. The deadline for submitting questions is Thursday, April 13th at noon. Once Derek has had an opportunity to answer them, the responses will be posted. This session will be coordinated as in accordance with The NSBB Q & A Guidelines. The Daytona Cubs are proud to announce the addition of Derek Ingram as the voice of the Cubs in 2006. A native of Bowling Green, Missouri, Derek comes to Daytona featuring a wide range of broadcasting and journalism experience. He previously served as Sports Director for a radio station north of St. Louis where he had a chance to call a variety of sporting events. Prior to that, Ingram has hosted a television show in Springfield, Missouri, worked in the sports department at another TV station and has three years of newspaper experience. When not in the press box, Derek collects baseball cards and Starting Lineups figurines. His favorite sports teams include the St. Louis Cardinals, Rams and his alma mater, the Missouri State University Bears. Derek and his wife Katie are now current residents of Daytona Beach. 7. I will call Jaxx home games
  8. Ron said last night that we'll have to wait and see. Thanks for the update.
  9. Go Reitsma!
  10. Rather than a one shot NSBB Night at Pringles Park, we're going to attempt to have more than one night during the season for the NSBB crew to meet up at a Jaxx game. NSBB Night at Pringles Park #1 will take place on Friday, April 28th, at 7:05 p.m. as the Jaxx host the Jacksonville Suns. As if a great night of Jaxx baseball isn't enough, the night will feature a Shirt Off Our Back Cubs Scout Jersey Auction as well as the Rhodes Phillips Free Gas Friday. As part of the promotion, ten fans will receive $100 in free gas from Rhodes Phillips 66. And as if all of that is not enough, Tim will be at the game, where he will hopefully have the opportunity to be a guest in the booth with "The Voice of the Diamond Jaxx", Ron Potesta! In regards to tickets for the game, we need to discuss where everyone would like to sit at the game. If you plan to attend the game, be sure to post not only that you plan to be there, but where you would like to sit.
