  1. At the risk of sounding like the worst person on earth, the rules page can be vague and there are changes that haven't been added. When I typed up the updated rules sheet to pass on there were more than a couple of changes that had to be made.
  2. I'm not against you here NC, just pointing out the confusion. FWIW that was the same week that I put Valverde back in the lineup after benching him for a -10 performance. There's been a lot of confusion in regards to the rules this year. Personally I think we should get all of this ironed out before we get further in the season.
  3. I'm not saying that I believe that you should just be able to switch a guy for that extra game. I am saying that if we're going to allow someone to pull a guy for poor play then we had might as well allow a sub during the week if a guy or team has the day off. Getting to pull a guy because he's playing bad gives you an advantage IMHO and as already mentioned, you cannot have an absolute standard defining bad play.
  4. Either way, this one needs to be laid to rest. Personally I think that a guy should have to have the ambulance sign to be able to be pulled out. After all, I know that Valverde has sucked pretty bad. However, if I want the potential reward of getting points on saves I should also have to accept the risk for putting him in the lineup. I prefer setting the lineup and leaving it with the exception of swapping active starting pitchers or removing a player that's hurt. Earlier in the year we all commented on the day off factor. If a person can take a player out for playing bad then everyone should be able to switch a player at least once. For example, if my main outfielder is off Monday and I have a reserve that is playing Monday I should be able to play the reserve Monday, and switch back for Tuesday if we're going to allow players to get pulled for bad play.
  5. I can't remember if the "suck" rule specifically mentioned being for position players or not. We really need to get the official rules posted in one place.
  6. Hopefully the free baseball doesn't take Corpas off the hook to lose the closer job.
  7. Hmmm....I thing I should go check the score! What a great time for my pitching to break even.
  8. My pitching has completely failed thus far.
  9. Not the opening start I wanted, but at least he didn't lose any points.

Riot is currently 3rd in RK for the week among position player scoring.

Great move by the Rangers. Millwood starts the game questionable, has 106 pitches through 6 and they put him back out for the 7th. 3 pitches later and 2 charged ER, the Dishmans lose much needed points.

Manny getting ejected should make the road easier for Millwood, but if I keep Gorzelanny benched I'm not sweating as much.

Thanks for the help. On another note, Valverde really sucks so far. Moylan is hurt so he's dropped and superstar Randor Bierd takes his spot while we get Valverde some help.

48 points from the offense yesterday helps the cause. After being down close to 90 points we're within 48 of the storm with a 1 start advantage through the rest of the week. The hurt sign is off Torii Hunter so I placed him back in the outfield. Millwood is questionable for his start Sunday but he's not officially on the DL. I have Niemann in the minors who could make a start this week if needed. Can anyone clarify the rule on moving a guy from the minors to major league roster? Specifically, once I move a guy from the minors he has to stay on the active roster, right?

Unlikely contributors Riot & Johjima post over 20 points. Not wanting to be left out, Okajima busts out a save..............and I'm still down over 60 points.

The tooterstorm is beating the crap out of me.

Yikes there's a lot of trade offers to sort. Let's hope some of them are good.

    Week 3

Teams get motivated to play the Dishmans. The Tooters are averaging some 150 points per week and they open up a 72.5 on the first day of the week. If I start 0-3 with NSBB coming next week it's going to be a rough start for a team I thought had potential. Apparently I am in a rebuilding year.

The deal for Longoria not happening kinda closed the door on moving Atkins. Abuck, you're not on ignore.

Not sure about Hughes. I see that more as you trying to get me negative points in our match in week 4.

Then again, if you want to make a deal that includes Justin Upton and maybe someone else I may listen.

Boo! You know mine is the best offer you'll get. (gotta find a smiley for jedi mind tricks) Looks like no deal is going to get done today for Haren. :(

    Week 3

If I was offering Riot that would be one thing. Considering it's Haren you'll have to come off at least one of them.

I'll be honest in that I'd really prefer making the deal that is out of the division. Come on Chuck, work with me. How about we do the deal without the draft pick? :D
