    It's hard to believe that someone like Pete Rose, who had 4,000 hits isnt getting into the HOF just because he gambled, but someone like Big Mac, Raffy, and Bonds will get into the HOF despite the fact that they took steroids. Summary: Pete Rose: over 4,000 hits + Gambling = No HOF Bonds/Big Mac/Raffy + Roids = HOF

    Just saw this on ESPNews.. we all know about the slump Giambi went through after he admitted testing positive to steroids. Hope Palmiero doesnt do the same because the Orioles need his bat in the race for the AL East.

    His last AB, I believe he knew he was traded for Nomar. I dont think that's true. Remember, Clement reportedly thought he was being traded right after that game. The reporters went into the locker room and said that Matt was upset until Dusty spoke with him and told him that he had not been traded... I thought he was upset due to the fact that he WASNT traded to Boston. Looks to me he really wanted to go there and he signed with them in the offseason anyway.

    Guys, you're forgetting the fact that we still have Corey Patterson. Sure, he is struggling in Iowa, but he wont be there forever. Lawton-Patterson-Burnitz IMO..

    It's so exciting! I remember the camera at Wrigley showing the Wrigley Field clock (on the scoreboard) And how it hit 3:00 and no trade had happened.

    If they trade Walker without getting Soriano, do the Cubs rotate Nomar, Neifi, and Ronny at SS/2B? I could live with that if we get some help elsewhere. Cool! Now I could be able to say "Walker, Texas Ranger"

    Wuertz could also be an option to send down. I agree with Weurtz being sent down. He's having a hard time right now and needs to get his confidence back. Ok, we could send Wuertz along with Novoa, Cedeno, and Mitre. If we send all four down, I want Jermaine Van Buren and David Aardsma called up. I want to see David Aardsma's awesome knucklecurve!

    Novoa and probably Cedeno. Novoa hasnt been doing his job lately and I think sending Cedeno down is the best option. He's rotting on the bench and it would be better if he was playing in Iowa and improving. They will all be definately be called back up in a month when the MLB roster limit increased from 25 to 40 (Sept. Call-ups.)
