  1. Yes, I mean ones that are overlooked... Not really unrecognizable names. Unnoticed as in, never really gets any attention... Actually, Coors shouldnt really unnoticed since it's always talked about and compared to when the wind is blowing out at any other park. That park is very noticed IMO. Citizen bank is new... and I think that's why it is pretty noticed. US Cell and RFK... Not sure on those.
  2. Is there really a need for an off-day after the first game? I'd much rather have one in the long run where there's 10 straight games road/home.
  3. Heh, 3/5 of them are from Chicago... or were in Chicago...

  5. What's the average age now?
  6. So far Kauffman Stadium is leading. It has a very cool... curvy... outdoorsy design. http://www.suntala.com/evol_images/kauffman_660w.jpg Obviously if the Royals won more, the park would get more attention...
  7. It's weird a virus-removing company bought the naming rights to the stadium.
  8. Nomar just seems like a class act and his attitude is so clean it doesnt seem like he's the type of guy to use roids and diss the game... If he did, which I highly doubt it, he's done a good job of hiding it.
  9. I've always wondered about this... Since I'm a fan of of the type of ballparks. Please, tell your honest opinion. I'm going to put the ones I know that are unnoticed... So no Wrigley, Fenway, Yankee... So which ballpark is never noticed? Whether its because of the location, the team, the over-shadowing of better parks, the fanbase... Or even if it just plain sucks... Sorry if I left out any parks you guys wanted to pick... If you pick "Other" please post it. Dont be mad if I put a ballpark you love... Yeah.
  10. Many things happened today... I can see a new chapter in Michael Moore's rants.
  11. Hey I know this game is on both CSN and ESPN... and obviously there will be blackout restrictions... But is there any chance of Steve Stone?
  12. Noteworthy Match-ups (Chicago Cubs) Vs. Bronson Arroyo (14-10, with a 4.51 ERA in 2005) http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/6420/arroyovcubs2no.jpg http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/5/5d/Pias.jpg GLENDON RUSCH SIGHTING!Idea stolen from another NSBBer. They put Bobby Hill. Noteworthy Match-ups (Cincinatti Reds) Vs. Glendon Rusch (9-8 with a 4.52 ERA in 2005) http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/4265/ruschvreds1pi.jpg Prediction: Lets see... Cubs have had good success against Arroyo in limited ABs... and Rusch has kept Reds to an okay control at .252... But there are still hitter such has the Gold Glover Adam Dunn, and Ken Griffey that could turn the day around with one swing. I wont take a chance at it. TIE. Prediction Record: 0-0-2
  13. Boy, what a game! What a thread too... 1700 posts.
  14. But I thought they cancelled plans for it? Or is that chain-linked fence there just for the fun of it?
  15. I have more confidence going into 2006 than going into 2005. I don't expect an all-star at every position like many people here. This team is above acceptable. I don't know my confidence is higher than going into 2004, but I hope it is. I also think the amount of injuries is a bad excuse for this team to lose... With a farm system built around pitching, we should be winning with no excuses about pitching...
  16. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yDq35gPtHa0&search=Chicago%20Cubs another good video.
  17. Image Knothole? Or atleast that's where it would've been?
  18. For anyone who watched BBTN... Nobody chose the Cubs wto win any playoff spot... The only good thing I saw was John Kruk thinking Zambrano will win the Cy Young... but that's it.
  19. I'm so thankful Dusty is not going Lee-Jones-Ramirez 3-4-5. That would just drive me insane. Thank god he didnt go with the "catchers gotta bat 8th" philosophy.
  20. Is it a possibility Aardsma could start this year? In MVP Baseball 2005, he is categorized as a starter... He has the stuff from what we saw today... especially with the knuckecurve. Or should he be a reliever?
  21. Not so much the wins... Because we all know he doesnt get the best run support around... I'll have to say, he'll have to strike out 2/3 of the batters.
  22. Noteworthy Match-ups (Chicago Cubs) Vs. Aaron Harang (11-13 with a 3.83 ERA in 2005) http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/8017/harangvcubs0bk.jpg Noteworthy Match-ups (Cincinatti Reds) Vs. Carlos Zambrano (14-6 with a 3.26 ERA in 2005) http://img82.imageshack.us/img82/8559/zvreds1sw.jpg Prediction Based on Match-ups: No decision... Leaders: AB: Cubs (by 1) Hits: Cubs (by 6) 2B: Reds (by 3) 3B: Cubs (by 1) HR: Reds (by 2) RBI: Reds (by 5) BB: Reds (by 14, hahaha) SO: Reds (by 19) BA: Cubs OBP: Cubs SLG: Reds OPS: Reds As you can see... It's pretty equal... thus the no decision. 2003: 15-3 over Mets 2004: 7-4 over Reds 2005: 16-6 over D'Backs 2006: Continued? Surprisingly, it was all under Baker.
