This is true. In 2004, when the Diamondback were absolutely awful, they still owned the Cubs. And I believe in 2003 we had trouble beating them.. Actually, in 2004 they were a decent team when the Cubs faced them in April and early May. Then they started to deteriorate. -

Congrats, you managed to spell 5/9 names incorrectly. He didn't even spell Cubs right in his NSBB name... Thats because I registered the original Cubs4life because the approval process was backed up. Before that I made HHHBK21 so only that got activated.

The man is going to need 2-3 days off after this series. We could use a day off as a baseball team too. Playing straight through the weekend, Monday off, but then 2 more weeks straight through. Marquis, Hill & Marshall going the AZ series. Don't think he'll get much time off.

I'm happy he's gone, too. But, he ought never have been on the roster in the first place. He was an overpaid "dandy little gloveman" coming off an injury with no reason to believe he would grow into even a mediocre offensive threat. He also only had 1 good season or at least it looks good because there were no other good shortstops in the NL.

We'll just pretend that's what they're paying Theriot to actually be somewhat useful at SS. I wouldn't have had a problem with paying 6/3 of Izturis' remaining contract. Sometimes it's just better to pay someone to play for someone else than to continue playing him on your own team. I don't get it... why would Selig allow this and not the Jacque Jones deal? Wasn't the Jones deal a disagreement on the part of Hendry?
