  1. This is the saddest inning we've seen in a while. Wow.
  2. 1st & 2nd, no outs. Oh we got trouble...
  3. 3-2 count on Floyd... and he gets HBP. He looks hurt.
  4. The quality start statistic is so stupid. 3 ER in 6 IP = 4.50 ERA Is that really what anyone would consider "quality" pitching? From the worst pitcher on my squad? I'll take it from my #5. I'll accept it, but I won't like it. How many teams in baseball have a #5 starter with a 4.50 ERA or better? I would guess not many. The problem is Marquis has an ERA of 5.09 and 6.29 in June and July. If a 4.50 ERA game is the best he can do, and he's regularly doing worst, that's a big problem. He was facing the best offense in the NL. I'll be more interested to see what he does against a middle-of-the-pack team... like the Mets this weekend, Or at least a team thats not in 1st in terms of R/G.
  5. and we all know how that ended. damn you Steve! http://img394.imageshack.us/img394/4853/cartangrymc0.gif Whoah.. And the guy who screwed us in 03 (you know, besides Alex freakin Gonzalez) was also named Steve. Creepy. I bet that "S" in Alex S. Gonzalez stood for Steve.
  6. How many days was that 5-man rotation healthy in 2004? Wood and Prior made 43 combined starts... When they should've made around 64 combined if they were healthy. 2007 team is alright. If there's a strong point, its the rotation. Not so much their records because those only go so far. The numbers are great. It feels great once to wake up everyday and know you have a good shot at winning because of the pitchers. On the offensive side, I really expected a lot more homers as everyone else. I also expected a lot more walks with Piniella and former A's hitting coach, Gerald Perry. At least they're giving up a lot less walks.
  7. Philadelphia Phillies Vs. Sean Marshall http://i194.photobucket.com/albums/z307/Cubs4life421/PhilliesVsMarshall.jpg Chicago Cubs Vs. Kyle Lohse http://i194.photobucket.com/albums/z307/Cubs4life421/CubsVsLohse.jpg
  8. *ahem* I've been right all day today. Those of you that were in FlashChat/Game Threads in the first couple innings today know what I'm talking about. Now let me just say, the Cubs of Chicago will win the NL Central & World Series in 2007. And thats not generous. I really want to win the lottery. :o
  9. Better than NyQuil. I also sleep a lot easier.
  10. A little late... but as the ritual goes... CUBS WIN! CUBS WIN! CUBS WIN!
  11. Inning over. Good work. Keep it rollin' Hill.
  12. Get it right..................it's a "Forfeit Lineup" Suicide line-up? more like MySpace Line-up!
