I don't specifically recall the Harper comparison, but I believe it happened. Folks here were (understandably) really high on Castro and made a lot of optimistic predictions that he did not fulfill. One I recall is that Castro was "guaranteed" to be the next Jeter. Something along those lines. We said the same thing about Ronny Cedeno.

I just......what did people think he was signing for, $15 per??? I thought he was getting $25 to $28 when the offseason started. its like when you put an item on ebay and you ask your friend to go bid on it to drive up the price and max out someone's bid (just that one time)

He was born in Park Ridge, Illinois. I hope he gave us a hometown discount. Played football at Notre Dame High as wide receiver and kickoff returner. Can we put him on the Bears? -
Wait what!?! I thought he was in prison? Didn't he get arrested multiple times for DV? I'm glad our FO does a lot of background research on players and really stresses makeup before acquiring/drafting any player. They still make mistakes, but the mistakes at least aren't horsefeathers like M. Bradley... In 2013 he was sentenced to 32 months in jail. Released on August 24, 2016 after only 15 months.
