  1. Thankfully the internet in my Chicago-based office only blocks these teams: http://i.imgur.com/eGp1rMI.png
  2. Always been done. It was really awkward/bad without the organ music + Fergie walking back and forth.
  3. Jeez, its $129 these days? Granted I haven't been in the market to buy MLB.tv since like 2004 which is the last time I lived out of market, but I think back then it was like $40 for the season. I get that back then it was some low bit stream and now you have HD and mosaic and everything else but that sounds ridiculous. Back in 2003 you could buy seasonally, monthly and even watch individual games for $1.99 a piece. Broke college Tony spent all his money buying individual games down the stretch of that season. I believe I did this for an Astros/Brewers game at the end of that season. 2 different packages / split into two different payment methods each. http://i.imgur.com/YADeF4L.png I got the $129.99 one for this season for the first time because my entire summer will be spent in a cubicle.
  4. Well, ya got me. 129.99 dollars of my next Paycheck (which should appear w/in the week) will be headed to MLB.tv. (That is if my mom didnt take my hint that I wanted it for my birthday (which is monday), not that she'd be able to figure out how to do it anyways.)
  5. I believe season ticket holders can use the VIP Bleacher entrance and get in even earlier. That's even worse! You actually get to see the Cubs batting practice.
  6. Oops. Then that makes it $37 per game
  7. I believe season ticket holders can use the VIP Bleacher entrance and get in even earlier. But you still have to be there early as [expletive]. I enjoy batting practice.

  9. I totally see SSR's reasoning, but I can't agree with the bold at all. Maybe I'm just a big wet blanket but I find the bleachers totally miserable. The view of the game kinda sucks. You can't really lean back so you're kinda hunched forward uncomfortably the whole game. You have to worry about someone saving your seat when you get up to go the bathroom or buy beer or whatever. And I'm all about stupid drunken antics, but the level of such douchebaggery is tenfold there. I'm not saying there aren't fun aspects of it but the drawbacks are too much for me. Totally agree. I like doing the bleachers thing once or twice a season, but to have that be your seat option for every game? And even if someone loves the atmosphere I don't know how they could think they're the best seats; you can't see [expletive]. He DID say he's right out of college, so I guess that explains, but the old man side of me thinks that sounds like a nightmare. Agreed on the bleachers. Fun once in awhile, but you have to either get there early or sit in the CF bleachers. However, if the Cubs were ever in the world series and I was able to get a free ticket anywhere but 100 level or better, I'm choosing bleachers. Also, there are a ton of douchebags there. I was at an NSBB meetup in 2006 and almost got into a fight for making fun of Dusty Baker, wtf? From my experience, the best place to sit in the bleachers if you want a good (close) view is either http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/chc/ticketing/seating.jsp a) The Left Field bleachers - front row --- (Aisle 301) - Instead of a solid railing there's a fence. If you are vertically challenged, this is the bleacher front-row location for you. b) The Center Field bleachers --- (Aisle 311) - Only place in the park where you can physically see the precise movement+location on pitches without looking at one of Rickett's HDTVs. If you are someone who enjoys that level of detail in baseball, this is the place for you. And I agree, maybe I'll live out that bleacher dream for a year or 3, and then move onto the grand stands.
  10. Gonna have to turn it down though. I was hoping it would come up later on in the decade. 2016/2017+ Same thing here, signed up around the same time hoping I wouldn't come up for another 5ish years, passed on them when I got the offer a month or so ago. Right out of college (working full time) but need to reach that point of financial stability before enjoying these luxuries. Thanks, student loans. Is anyone else aiming for Bleacher tickets once you do get the opportunity? I know I am. Best place to sit at Wrigley and more fun than the grand stands. A season ticket in the bleachers runs $3068.80 per seat for the daily plan. Thats $37/ticket over 81 games.
  11. I drove from Chicago --> Boston (Passed Cooperstown) once. Didn't stop though. I should have.
  12. I signed up for the waitlist on 01/04/2007. I got offered to purchase Season Tickets in 2013. However, it went straight to my Spam Folder. Gonna have to turn it down though. I was hoping it would come up later on in the decade. 2016/2017+
  13. Manning's total quarterback rating of 24.4 was his lowest of the season and the worst in a Super Bowl since Rex Grossman's 7.1 in 2006.
  14. http://youtu.be/c1CQdz6IhDs
  15. Tonight, I blurred my eyes and pretended that the Denver Broncos uniforms (Orange + Navy blue = Same exact Bears colors) were the Bears. so in my mind I treated it like Bears were in the Super Bowl. That was a mistake.
  16. I hope Tanaka blows junks and this turns out to be a horrible signing by the Yankees. WORSE than A-Rod's re-signing.
  17. that is pretty awesome Looks like the Braves jersey.
  18. I'm glad Maddux went to Atlanta. At least he won a World Series there.
  19. Doesn't NSBB have some sort of Cubs press pass? Lets send a rep with a list of questions and rebuttals during the convention for Ricketts. Anyone here have journalism experience? (Other than Bruce Miles)
  20. Pete Rose
  21. podlesh Yes, how did I forget that mediocre piece of [expletive].
  22. Good job: Cutler Forte Jeffery Marshall Go [expletive] yourself: Mel Tucker Chris Conte This entire [expletive] piece of [expletive] defense
  23. Alshon Jeffery/Brandon Marshall, you're our only hope.
  24. Come on Hester, give us a chance.
  25. But Jeffery... you always catch those! :(
