    Not really NBA but WNBA related. I feel bad for Catlin Clark. She's getting the Jordan treatment when he broke into the league. Now all the right-wingers are making it about race. And of course the Black commentators are trying to say something different, which makes it more about race. I'm sure she didn't sign up for this. I hope she's getting mental health support. The issue is much bigger than her but now she's in it.

    lol, Which one has a proven track record in MLB for hitting dongs at a prodigious pace in a park not suited for it, and which one is a 27 year old career minor leaguer who can't hit in MLB? Some of this nonsense is laughable.

    They look at Ballesteros and see a bad-bodied kid without a position. A player like that rarely makes it. I'm not saying I agree with the belief.

    I went to bed when they were down 5-0 figuring that the Sox would find a way to lose. Happy for the win. Cubs are the tallest dwarf tonight.

    Win or lose, I want them to start playing clean games. No base running errors, and no fielding errors. Selective aggression at the plate. Relief pitchers who don't walk the first batter. If they get in the habit of doing that, their talent should keep them in the playoff hunt.

    I agree, but I believe that Jed values payroll flexibility uber alles. The result is what we have on the team. It's not necessarily a bad plan. But we have to hope they strike gold with Cassassie and Alcantara and they matriculate quickly. In the meantime, they trade for some power.

    Morel is the Cubs best offensive player who seems to be crushing the ball right at people. That won't last. I don't think they are going to trade him. For the life of me, I can't understand the frequent "let's trade Morel" sentiment.

    What do you do today to make this team better? I'm at a loss. I haven't the faintest idea. They are constipated and there is not a lot to move around.

    They have to be close to their nadir. They might not be a great team, but they aren’t this bad either. I hope a month from now we will look back on this stretch and wonder.
