  1. Yankee fans think the team is garbage if they don't win the WS. Mets games? The sad thing is that Mets games aren't a bad watch...Lol they have a top tier broadcasting crew. Plus, Citifield is really, really easy on the eyes. I actually really like that park. It's way better than the new Yankee Stadium to me.
  2. TO THE [expletive] YANKEES!!! As the youngest one, EVER, at the time. The Dodgers were such pussies for not hiring her over Colletti...same for the Padres and Mariners really...but the Dodgers one really irked bc I already had the impression that they pussied out on DePodesta as GM because of douchebags like Plaschke in their media.
  3. Holy [expletive] a board that promotes the hiring of Kim Ng (so long as it's not here) as a GM? I feel like this is some form of progress maybe.
  4. I'd rather sign Carlos Beltran to play 3B.
  5. I approve of a little Tomfoolery for Tom.
  6. See the thing with him is that the word "yet" still (barely) stands. He was fine in AA this year as a hitter, and excellent at times. If he was getting overmatched then sure, but the flaws with him as a hitter are flaws that can not be permanent one way or another. He can hit a fastball and he's not one of those guys who gets exposed by breaking balls in the dirt unless it's well set up, and he's doing it at a younger age than his competition. I'm putting alot of value on that That's why they should just let the bat play out and then worry about position. While his bat is developing I'd keep him at the hardest defensive position he feels comfortable at without bothering his bat, which his 3B. There's been plenty of cases of guys suddenly becoming OK defenders when they can hit. It took damn near a billion surgeries to get them to move Troy Glaus off of 3B.
  7. Tssss da feet is yours? Sounds like loser talk to me. Tssssss.
  8. Indeed. Balls out...Pujols + CC + trade for BJ Upton + trade for Justin Upton + Yu Darvish for the Eastern overseas market. Both CC and Pujols go into the HOF as Cubs.
  9. Yeah they're new/young. Lots of good power pitching coming out of Seattle with Felix, Pineda, Paxton, and Hultzen. Plus they've got Ackley and that 1B who didn't do so well this year but is a good future talent (Smoak). They've also put together good defenses, but they can't score runs.
  10. Meh. Too many good hitters get their D crapped on in the minors for me to worry too much...I'd rather they figure it out after his bat develops. A little 3B, a little LF, and a little 1B until one of them fits.
  11. Mets have a pretty amazing group with Alderson, DePodesta, and Riccairdi. Yankees have Cashman, Newman, Oppenheimer. The Indians have Shapiro, Antonelli, and Chernoff. Rangers have Ryan, Daniels, and Levine. Dombrowski, Reid, Avila in Detroit. Seattle has Zduriencik, McNamara, and and Kingston. Schuerholz, Wren, and Coppolella in Atlanta. Etc...Beane, Fuson, Forst....Hunsicker, Friedman, whoeverthirdguyis.... Plus, doesn't most everyone else in the FO suck or something like that? I think the owner is the trump card. Tom is putting money and work into this whole owning the Cubs project.
  12. What of compensation to the Red Sox over their loss? *Before* he signs. That's the key. That's just underhanded and mean spirited.
  13. What of compensation to the Red Sox over their loss?
  14. Yes. Pujols would be the greatest signing ever for so many reasons, starting with taking the best player in the game off of the Cardinals.
  15. I would love for a manager named Chip. I don't think he'll get hired, but that would be cool. Maybe hear some good jokes.
  16. TBH I'm not likely to have most of these guys in my top 15.
  17. Wow they went upside. I like the Chen love. He was moved to CF this year, where he played most of the season (44/60 games). I think he'll be a good D sub, pinch runner, get a bunt down guy if anything, but he's one of those guys who has good actions at a young age. Probably not really a top 10 prospect in the system, but an interesting sub-20 name. I can dig Baez at #1 though in a BA upside type list. I don't know where I'll go if/when I do one.
  18. OK [expletive] yes. I want me a Ricketts jersey. He's made me a fan for life...cause you know...I wasn't.
  19. No doubt, though I could say that Soriano was also older and had already played pro ball in Japan IIRC. I agree with your analysis overall...I just found their parallels interesting. I think that right now he's the closest to a Soriano type in the organization because of the scouting parallels, but I also agree with your conclusion that his ceiling probably isn't as high as many believed Soriano's to be when he was a prospect. Your points about background and small differences are ones I can agree with.
  20. Quit spazzing spaz. Practice your words in a quiet corner somewhere.
  21. Walk the extra mile boy, walk the extra mile. It will make a man of ya! Tommy knows that. Ole J. Joseph taught Tommy and Todd that when they were mere lads. Those bahstids keep moving the mile marker. Then again what made humans great hunters was their patience and stamina so...Keep chugging along Ricketts...I don't doubt you know you have many other options anyway.
  22. Oh thank Jah. I can wipe the sweat off me brow now then... ;) WINK
