  1. i would have preferred costanzo or prince to a 75 year old interior lineman, but hopefully he can give us a few good years before he dies.
  2. He's obviously broken. At least 7 runs, maybe more, including a grand slam in 1/3 inning. The Cubs just can't afford for this crap to continue. sure they can, they're not going anywhere this year so what does it matter?
  3. i say we unban gvillecub to unload on dempster for this performance.
  4. You know what Toby? When the son of the deposed king of Nigeria emails you directly asking you for help, you help! His father ran the freaking country, ok?
  5. i'm pretty pissed that prince just fell into the giants' lap.
  6. The Clippers are a better organization than the Panthers? In what single way? Blake Griffin. i refuse to give the clippers credit for not screwing up a complete no-brainer.
  7. if you'd told me a few months ago that christian ponder would go in the top half of the first round, i would have thought you were crazy. actually even if you told me that now i'd think you were crazy.
  8. apparently detroit wants to trade down? i'd be fine with the eagles moving up for prince... definitely need CB help.
  9. i guess houston doesn't want to stop the pass ever.
  10. three of our top prospects have home runs for daytona - justin bour, jake opitz and david macias
  11. Definitely. Best player in the draft went 5th. houston really should have tried to move up for him. their secondary is so God-awful.
  12. seeing koyie hill's name in a lineup causes me to black out for 10 minutes. when i wake up there's usually a dead body at my feet and i'm covered in blood.
  13. this is kind of a boring pitching day. i guess the last three guys have some potential but i'm not all that high on any of them.
  14. nor can i believe that you are pompously trumpeting one of your accurate predictions.
  15. so jeff baker is batting #3 against a RHP? and maybe we should keep playing the guy who has a .552 OBP.
  16. if the search function is working i'd ruin your i-told-you-so spree with predictions about ronny cedeno and the 2010 reds.
  17. the thing i don't understand is that pretty much ALL of his power is pull power. why does he still see balls on the inner half of the plate?
  18. http://www.ajc.com/sports/atlanta-braves/braves-pitching-coach-accused-927447.html between this and the newman/kramer spitting incident, he's really disgraced himself.
  19. no, he's been both. his xBABIP is still higher than his actual BABIP.
  20. that's a very rudimentary formula, and as i said before, lack of speed does not have anything to do with luck. if you were to gather up every catcher in baseball and evaluate their BABIPs versus their LD%, i'd be shocked if their differential were not significantly below .12. i'll choose brian mccann at random - and he's a relatively thin and young guy, so i'm being generous to your side: 2007: .094 2008: .102 2009: .089 2010: .095 2011: .107
  21. i'm not even sure that bergeron's stick clipped wisniewski, but damned if he didn't throw his head back like he had whiplash. i feel like montreal should get about 30 diving/embellishing penalties a game.
  22. definitely nothing obnoxious about being the guy who disagrees with everybody on everything.
  23. i should pull for montreal since i think boston is a better team, but montreal is just so unlikeable. what a bunch of pansies.
