Cubs Start the Fireworks Early

Cubs Video

The Chicago Cubs set their own fireworks off on the Fourth of July with a record setting eight home runs. Michael Busch and Pete Crow-Armstrong led the way, with them hitting three and two home runs respectively. With them beating the Cardinals 11-3, hopefully this will set a momentum for them to pull ahead in the NL Central standings.

The Cubs also lost Jameson Taillon to the 15-Day IL with a calf strain, which he will miss for more than a month and puts a question mark on their pitching rotation. There is still time for the Cubs to make a move before the trade deadline, and pitching should be their top priority.

Until then, see you at Wrigley.
