Many fans I've spoken to recently (read: outside of Chicago) are confused by this feeling. They don't know how it feels to back a team that is ridiculously good. They're confused because they're used to losing and heartache and being out of races by June. They don't understand that we really are on pace to win 125 games right now, or that we play every game to 6-2 scores. Len is right. We should enjoy the season. We should enjoy seriously talking about clinching the division in August or watching the back of our 40 man roster play out the string in September. It's just such a new and exciting feeling for us. This team is that far beyond the long-suffering, fatalistic, "How are they gonna choke this away?" fans' wildest expectations right now. Even Kyle can't get his doom boner up right now as much as he tries. We here at NSBB knew this team was going to be good, but even every one of us are surprised at how well the Cubs have been grinding down opposing pitchers or how the Cubs entire rotation has stepped up their production. We are this ridiculously good. Pinch yourself. You're not dreaming.
