  1. Ah here we go. Runner on 3rd with less than 2 outs.
  2. And Glendon gets out of the inning w/o any damage. Come on offense, don't you think it's time to stop sucking?
  3. Good positioning by Burnitz. Saved a run there.... for now.
  4. Well, a sac fly by Macias. I guess I'll take that. Sure alot better than a DP.
  5. What doesn't make sense to me is that Pie is a CF, correct? Well, the Royals have DeJesus as their starting CF, and he's been doing pretty good so far. Something just doesn't add up.
  6. On second thought....... CUBS are 0-5 in road games with Hornkohl in attendance Maybe it would just serve to make me feel worse ??? Wow.... Maybe you might just want to stay home... Yeah...
  7. Sounds like a bad day in the office for Mr. Fred. Maybe you should contact your company and tell them that you're shaken up from the accident, and the only cure would be going to the Cubs/Phillies game. Glad to see you're all right though.
  8. Got a question to them Pirates fans. Who in the sam hill is Chris Duffy? Man, he has some speed and glove work out there in the CF position.
  9. Looking back at that, I'm glad we didn't get Beltran. Really.
  10. Yes, I agree. However, he's making progress. He went through without any concerns, as far as I know/read. Hopefully we'll be seeing some of that filthy stuff he has to the pen.
  11. Welcome :D How did he look?
  12. I gave up and read that article. What a terrible article. Granted, I dislike Dusty, but it's nothing compared to what Mr. Jackson is saying. I just dislike Dusty for the fact that he mismanage the bullpen, cannot fill out a line-up, etc. etc. I e-mailed a letter to ESPN about this article, and concerning Mr. Jackson. I suspect once a civil rights leader/leaders/group reads this, that odds are that they'll be blasting at ESPN and at Mr. Jackson.
  13. Doesn't help Lee's case that if Dusty is having Burnitz batting behind Lee. Any team will IBB Lee, just to get Burnitz, and just throw off-speed/curveballs at Burnitz. If Aramis was batting behind Lee, then most likely they would pitch around at Lee more often than IBB'ing.
  14. He's your closer. For bettter or worse. I'm smoking cigarettes like it's my job right now. I hate smoking, but I am forced to secondhand smoke about 2 packs/day. I ride around with this old dude at work, and he smokes constantly. Doesn't even roll his window down. He just flicks his ashes in the floor of the truck. Yikes. That's not good. Just hope he doesn't set his truck on fire.
  15. I disagree 100 percent. There almost NO managers that will pull their closer. What kind of message of confidence does that send him? All Closers will blow games, it just happens. You can't have someone ready at the first sign of trouble. I bet that means an enormous amount to Dempster. I can't believe the number of you that would pull your closer who has been lights out pretty much at his first sign of trouble. Dusty is dumb, but not for this reason. Am I the only one who think that? Nope. I agree with you there. Schilling had trouble today aganist the Royals, yet Francona didn't pull him. He let him pitch through it.
  16. Washington lost to the Dodgers, 5-4. Brewers are beating the Mets, 7-6 in the 7th. Cardinals are beating the Marlins, 3-1 in the 7th. Arizona beating the Astros, 1-0 in the 2nd.
