  1. How long are you back home? You need to get a load and head to Houston by Monday. :) These Honey Bunches of Oats gotta be at Wally World in Burleson, TX Sunday night...... then it's off to Owens Corning in Waxahachie to pick up a load for Springfield, TN for Monday morning. I used to work for a phone order company in Burleson. I can't believe you couldn't find a way to swing through Houston. Oh well, Thomas and I will have to take in the games without you.

  3. Anytime I've heard Stone suggest a move or trade idea, it makes me cringe. He'd be Steve Phillips bad as a GM. I don't want him making personnel decisions, because frankly I think he'd be bad at it. I think he'd be the type to find value in players like Darrin Erstad and Cesar Izturis and overpay them to boot. While there may be some nostalgia attached to a return of Stone, I think the end result of Stone would be a very bad Cubs team on the field.
  4. Considering Dopirak has already been at AA, your "prediction" would be pretty meaningless, now wouldn't it? Do you post just for the sake of posting most of the time, or do you ever have actual content to contribute? Just curious. Kiss my ass. But considering Dopirak hit 256/320/339/659 in 53 games at AA, I don't see him getting past there. Harvey will likely be promoted to AA next season, and I expect him to be equally exposed by the better pitchers there.
  5. Please keep Stone away from the Cubs.
  6. Let's not do it much later than 10PM. I have to get up at 6AM for work the next morning.
  7. I'm thinking it about time Ohman got sent to Iowa and Pignatiello was given a shot. Ohman doesn't have options. He'd have to be placed on waivers and then he could become a FA with the Cubs still paying his salary.
  8. St. Louis @ Washington 6:05 Colorado @ Atlanta 6:35 Philadelphia @ Milwaukee 7:05 San Francisco @ San Diego 9:05 Arizona @ Dodgers 9:40 Looks like a full slate for me to watch tonight.
  9. Zambrano should be hitting seventh in that line-up.
  10. Does this bet hold true for his board also? I think it should, Im sure the Card fans there would just love that  That's exactly what it is. If I win, he has a Cubs avatar at GRB. If I lose, I have a Cards avatar here. There should also be a stipulation mandating a minimum number of posts per day for the week which you're sporting the avatar. since he's the admin over there, I doubt it will be a problem.
  11. I don't think either will ever see significant time past AA. I think at that level, their lack of discipline at the plate will be exposed significantly.
  12. Hoping to see another good outing by Gallagher today.
  13. Just for fun, a sampling of Brewerfan comments on this....
  14. He'll get Cherry's spot on the 25-man. I'm guessing it's time to remove Dopirak from the 40-man.
  15. Getting a ticket to see the Cubs play in Atlanta in 2003 was pretty easy. Hopefully, they'll meet the Braves in the first round again. :)
  16. When I saw him play this year, he was phenomenal. The only player that I saw that appeared to have similar skills was Jay Bruce.
