    I'm pretty sure Pie could easily outproduce Jones offensively right now. Jones has done nothing this year. He's a waste of a roster space.

    This is a very important factor. We can get rid of the crap (Eyre, Jones, Howry, Floyd, Ohman, etc), but we don't really have that much in the minors to replace them with. We're pretty much screwed all around. We need new ownership to bring in people who actually know how to run a team.

    It's too bad you can't do things like this in the real world. How many of us would love to start kicking things at our boss and crawling around throwing a tantrum. I wish I could do it at least once a week.

    If you want to see Dusty get punished, matching him up with Prior and Wood wouldn't be the way to do it. Prior would break a nail and have to withdraw and Wood would injure his shoulder. No. I think Wood would seriously kill Dusty. He's got some crazy in him. Now Prior on the other hand...

    You would think that it would start with them being suspended. Guess not. Guess the Cubs don't believe in discipline.

    When was the last time a Cubs' relief pitcher came in and didn't give up a run? Seems like forever ago.

    Not really. He was out by about 10 feet. Wasn't even close. I don't really no what to say other than that you're completely wrong. His arm was extending to the base when he got tagged in the midsection. I had to look at the replay closely to make sure he wasn't actually safe. yeah, it was relatively close. Still. You learn in little league that you're not supposed to make the 3rd out in an inning trying to reach 3rd base. It's the mistakes like those that keep the Cubs from winning close games. the baserunning of pitchers who have just hit doubles is absolutely, 100% NOT the type of mistakes that keep the cubs from winning close games. So just because he's a pitcher he gets a pass when making a baserunning mistake?

    What's terrible is we have one of our better pitchers sliding headfirst into 3rd base. Not good.
