It could have been worse. Pearson limited the damage just enough to still give us a decent buffer.

I hope Wrigley Field stands forever as a Baseball stadium. Swimming pools, trains, fireworks after every home run, whatever other dumb modern concept you can think of. No thanks.

The only Cubs games that I didn’t try to watch live will actually have been the Tokyo games, which both started live at 9PM for me. Give me a game at 4:20am and I am there lol.

You’ve got to appreciate the absolute shithousery of the Dodgers. Sign all these great players, including the best Japanese player in the world, win the World Series, sign the Japanese pitcher with “the best pitch in baseball” for minimum wage, sign the best relievers, have “best record in baseball history” aspirations this year. Be the “road” team in the first up Japan series where the Dodgers are literally the home team in terms of fans in the stadium….. which funnily enough means the Dodgers are virtually playing 83 home games, thanks to the opposition owners thinking they are being clever. The Dodgers have evil empired the Yankees.

The Dodgers are owned by the Guggenheim Partners, who were the main sponsor of the Tokyo Series. Chicago Cubs were the home team in both games. Makes complete sense. The Ricketts family must have been paid an absolute bundle.

0-2 in Japan sucks. Putting Japan in the rearview mirror is good.

Good memory, borrowed by Anthony Rizzo. Ben Zobrist’s go-ahead extra innings Game 7 shot was off a bat borrowed from Dexter Fowler. Borrowing bats is an effective tactic. 😄

Not to mention the Tokyo Dome field looks like the darkest, grimmest, worst looking baseball field I have ever seen. It doesn’t hold a candle to any MLB ballpark. -
