  1. A little Yankee trivia: Cody Bellinger's wife is Giancarlo Stanton's ex.
  2. Who backs up dansby? Keep in mind nico couldn't in 24 because of arm issues. No clear idea if he'll have arm strength returning in 25
  3. All makes sense. Keep in mind today's presser. Jed said they fully expect Shaw to be our 3b. Straight from the horses mouth. 🐎
  4. Why would moncado come to the Cubs? He's going to try and establish a path to his next $. He wont do this by backing up shaw. He would need the opportunity of playing every inning of every game possible. He's going to be 30 in 2025.
  5. Sorry squally, moncado hurt his wrist. Agent is keeping mum on severity. Plus I think he'd probably want a fresh start out of these city limits and probably go to marlins or rockies or anywhere other than chitown to try for an everyday job rather than a benching
  6. That's cool how the site has developed into a respected site, far from the skepticism they endured early on. When do arb numbers come out?
  7. Newsweek is trying to project a Boston/marlins swap: Cepedes, Sandlin, Romero for lazardo. Probably fiction
  8. I'm using spotrac. Are you using mlbtraderumors projections?
  9. Oh boy, spotrac.com has him at 8.6million for 2025. Who are you using?
  10. Moncada got hurt and pulled home from winter ball
  11. Morels obp was what .189? He had no production lol
  12. Solano is 37 and stands 5'8. How many choppers are beyond his limited reach? As well as his aged reflexes? Last year we experimented with stubby Madrigal. This season with possibly 4 lefty starters, bertz said 3rd will be an important fielding necessity. I'm hoping jed doesn't need to settle signing someone he can look squarely in the eye.
  13. Solano turns 37 tomorrow. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DONOVAN
  14. Michael cerami wrote an article this afternoon. Probably after reading the discussion here. He uses Roster Resource. Currently has the Cubs at 215mil.
  15. This Monday, the days just appear to be brighter to come. It's amazing how getting our own "soto" just lifts the spirits for our team chances. Isn't it wonderful to be dealing with the difficulties of having a not necessary belli on the roster? I'll admit, jed stood tall last week far exceeding his 5'6" stature and came thru. For all those who cried about losing 3rdbaseman Morel last July, as a result we now have a rightfielder whose numbers compare to the latest billionaire not named ohtani. 2025 promises to be relevant for us in a chicago kinda place. I for one, anxiously await jeds next moves of cloak and dagger to muster up more ammunition for our exciting boys of summery love. YOU CAN DO IT JED
  16. Yeah, why use his gold glove caliber in the field.
  17. How many more years do we have jason Heyward on the payroll?
  18. You are correct. They've developed a brotherhood over the last few years. I believe dom when he mentions things.
  19. That would be great for MLB if he goes elsewhere other than LA.
  20. It's widely known most mlb teams have handshake deals with Latin kids prior to official signing timelines.. Someone signing Sasaki will probably break their word to a Latin youngster? I know someone will be there to scoop him up but
  21. PWis is going to mash in Korea, big time.
  22. Isn't January 15 the Cubs earliest signing date because of international monies available? Their 2024 $ is spent, correct?
