  1. Most are saying "replace taillon with a free agent" solution in order to get out of his $. My question: who the hell are the free agent starters? And who is going to be cheaper than $18 per? And quite frankly I'm not interested in trading him for somebody 3 years away down the road.
  2. I find him best in the minors thread. A fine hugger of the potentially elite for what's in store for the future
  3. Mlb in the 60s. No wonder I was lousy in geography, Atlanta was in the western division. But even in expansion years they still maintained stats quo with the June 15th time line. Ownerships were Dinosaurs when it came to change.
  4. I understand because of wildcard situations to wait it out and all but to me it's a little nutsy. For example, if jed had pulled off a deal 2 weeks ago for the right player (like a rumored cat her) we might be in prime situation today? It's kinda queer to think for over 50-60 years mlb trade deadline was June 15th? Can you imagine June 15th, whether to go all in or hold?
  5. Just curiously odd thought: why do GMs wait til almost the last possible moment to finalize a trade at deadline time? Do they crave the rush? Or are they just trying to tortoise their way thru their job? Is it really do diligence or just a charade of "hard working" Because after reading people's thoughts here, virtually most in the mlb world know equitable value of each player thru numerically computations on a 20-80 scale. Also values of war/bwar/fwar should clear up most questions.
  6. After last night's whitewash where they couldn't groundout a run or even hit a sac fly, I'm resigned to praying for a rainout
  7. I'd gladly give him wisy and bote $ combined. Or maybe you can squeak by with Yan $.
  8. 7 of the 8 have been on the IL this season. I don't like the %. Keep or attain every possible starter.
  9. I'm the least sentimental guy. But on a very team friendly deal I'd welcome him back as a 6th starterish type of guy. Not sure if they have the roster space to carry him all the time, but maybe counsell can get creative juggling the IL for times to take a breather and facing optimal opponents.
  10. True question: how much to sign soto in your opinion?
  11. I could handle morels defense if he was doing a good job with the stick. But he's just so damn blah
  12. If we get a myrtle beach player for taillon, I won't be able to sleep for 3 years in anticipation of him reaching chicago in late 2027
