  1. Virtually exactly what I was thinking word for word. I totally agree, and everyone: don't discount the emotional lift of a managerial change. Regardless if he's only interim. There's probably no statistical proof behind this. But the human psyche can play a factor, although merely short-term, like 2 games against the beloved cubs. My fingers crossed, Cubs, knock the crap out of sox.
  2. Give me soto and I'll be happy to club the opponent to a pulp. Haha
  3. I absolutely hate the "flyer" idea. And equally the prospect route. I want 2025 to hit the ground running, jed has to find the team willing to give up that established MLB catcher, one who has succesful experience, but with short teeth. Is there an example? Probably not, this is exactly where Jed earns his $. He needs to find his catcher and team to beat them into submission for a nice haul of Cub prospects. There has to be "a" team. Perhaps if we can provide a good example , someone here write an eloquent blog post, and then Bernstein reads it aloud over the 670 airwaves, jed hears it ... LOL.
  4. Mostly, the catchers available in free agency are a mass collection of identical siblings all with the same annoying traits. I'm hoping jed cashes in some of his kids for a trade. Big question : which team has a good catcher available for trade?
  5. I was in the "get robert" club just a short short time ago. But me thinks I need to embrace PCA a little tighter as he shows signs of life and hope.
  6. Just a Goofy observation: carlos Santana wears his pants like a nfl wide receiver. It might look good on a small guy but on a guy whose somewhat beefy looks odd
  7. paredes is my pick to click tonight. Offense leader will make the fans cheer
  8. Cards are blowing up to the Mets this afternoon. On their way to another loss
  9. As long as they don't call off every infielder on every pop up?
  10. I kinda wish we traded Steele for a Darvish return of an abundance of A & A+ league prospects, one of which might surface in mlb 5 years down the road, plus a crappy old vet J/k.
  11. His defense will kill his value. The only glove he should ever wear are batting gloves.
  12. Sounds like maybe bullpen is his calling after all
