Really interested to see how Boyd rebounds after this. Was quite bold to hand out the contract they did on a minuscule 40 IP sample size. Regardless he hasnt pitched 80 innings or more in half a decade -
Has to be Merryweather or Flexen. Palencia is getting results so it would be kind of weird to send him down

Yep not disagreeing with any of that, I mentioned in my first comment that i know he needs the consistent at bats. Just sucks to see him sent down. But i think its a bit of an overreach to say hes not effective against LHP

Hes played there sparingly in his minor league career, i think he was last utilized there meaningfully a couple seasons ago. If they want to find room for a player, they will. They played Nick Madrigal at 3B for years which seemed like it would never happen because of his noodle arm, dont think they would be opposed to put Moises at 1B from time to time. Also hes hitting .325 against lefties in AAA

Seeing Moises sent down and Turner at 1B on the same day really gives me heartache. I know he needs reg playing time but man….
