  1. I can't think of may untouchable bats in the roster. I also can't think of anyone who the Mariners would want
  2. I'd like to see a near ready young catcher acquired for a handful of prospects. Might have to over pay but that's what prospects are for. It would be really nice for them to trade for a near ready third baseman as well. They'll probably move some chairs around. Maybe they'll exchange rule five eligible players with other teams, but that's what I think will happen. Nothing satisfying.
  3. He might have been scared straight after the lead off man just missed a home run three feet foul.
  4. This guy, I think... https://youtu.be/Vz8qh_l0BWA?si=PlxbPxy6TO1GB57Q
  5. The Cubs are in the fifth position of the MLB draft lottery with an 8.21% chance at the number one overall pick in the 2025 draft.
  6. Looking at fWAR, the Cubs have two players on pace to hit 3 fWAR for the season, Shota and Busch. Not a great roster. They're playing the same game that all of the other Chicago teams play. They try to hang around playoff contention for as long as possible to keep selling tickets but they don't really care. Ricketts will keep Jed because he won't want to pay two guys for the same job.
  7. It's a shame. PCA clearly needs time in the minors and Canario has earned another shot. I'm not as big into the numbers as many here but just looking at wRC+ makes it easy to see where the offensive problems are. PCA needs more work. I know that the numbers show that Morel is unlucky, but shouldn't that even out over a large enough sample size? At what point does the number show who he is? I don't get too caught up in slightly below average numbers from the middle infield or catchers. The main complaint about the catching spot is that the front office did nothing to hedge their bets on Amaya and Gomes. Ballesteros should not be plan B or C at this point in his career.
  8. Cubs have the seventh spot in the draft lottery with a 3.84% chance at the #1 overall pick.
  9. The Cubs are, currently, in the eighth spot in the 2025 draft lottery with a 2.56% chance to win the number one overall pick.
  10. Put sticky stuff on the inside of the bottom of your pant legs. Get checked and then tie your shoes to get the sticky stuff on your hands.
  11. Now Boog is wanting a tag day in Chicago to help a player get shoes because Ricketts can't be bothered to spend money to outfit the team
  12. I was watching Yankees and Braves earlier and they were talking about the struggles of the Braves second baseman. His ops was only .733. Poor little guy.
  13. Shaw, Pagan and McGeary collided in the Smokies game. Pagan left in an ambulance.
  14. Is Joe Girardi not exclusive to Marquee? He's doing the Yankees broadcast.
  15. I miss the 1:20 start today. I'm watching the South side team to fill the time. It's like watching a softball game.9-0 through two innings.
  16. I'm watching it now. I was 13. I rode my bike to my Grandparent's house from my little league game, changed clothes, and hogged the TV to watch the game before hopping in their pool.
  17. Slow arriving crowd, or are people starting to show their frustration with their wallet?
