  1. I understand that the Cubs would prefer to dump Bellinger's salary but don't be shocked to see Tauchman shipped out instead.
  2. So we have Steele, Imonaga, Taillon, Assad, and Wesneski. I don't dislike Hendricks the person but he shouldn't be out there anymore. (I'm sure that he'll have the game of his life now that I posted that)
  3. I know that he isn't the greatest but, why not start Druce Miley over Hendricks? What happened to Hendricks' back problem? Does it only hurt when he's getting lit up? Is it too much to hope for Assad to get back after the break?
  4. If they score ten runs like they're supposed to they'll win tonight.
  5. Don't celebrate yet. We need ten runs, not eight.
  6. I wish that they would stop doing that.
  7. Is Bellinger ded? I saw that Canario is headed to Baltimore. Maybe just in case his hand isn't good tonight?
  8. This has all of the earmarks of a blown lead, late in the game
  9. How about this guy? https://www.milb.com/player/coby-mayo-691723
  10. Leaving the bases loaded earlier in the game probably cooked the chance of 10 runs. I guess that we'll have to wait until tomorrow.
  11. Is Jason Heyward the Cubs hitting coach?
  12. 43 pitches through two innings on a hot night. Can he get five innings?
  13. I expect the Cubs to score ten runs tonight.
  14. I was hopeful for Amaya (Miglet). Maybe he put too many innings on his legs last season? I was skeptical about Gomes because of his age (36). Remember, they had three catchers on the roster early last season. This season they started with two. In Spring training Thaddeus Hudson looked good when I watched but his career numbers are awful and Jorge Alfaro is currently awful with Boston. I expected three catchers again. Didn't happen. I guess that three out of that four is no better than two. Their AA and AÀA guys are hitting catcher-ish but are they good catchers? Aliendo, Wyndham and Ballesteros.
  15. I don't want Taillon gone. He's a great option as a back of the rotation starter. They need 6-7 viable options and they can't all be $30 million guys. They do need to free up some money to address 3rd, catcher, and back of the bullpen. How they do that is up to them. I couldn't believe that they went into the season with those two catchers (didn't they have another veteran on a minor league deal?) and no experienced 3rd baseman. They try to go cheap on the bullpen every year and choke away the first half of the season in doing so
